    Just posted on Facebook:

    Chapter 4 clue update:
There was an error in last Fridays clue. The clue should read:
Wt “Hvs eiwqy pfckb tcl xiadsr cjsf hvs zonm rcu” kcfysr tcf hmdwbu hvsb wh gvcizr kcfy og o qzis tcf kvoh zshhsfg hc igs.

Our apologies for any confusion. Ron

And her I thought the "mistake" was a clue within the clue...........

It still looks wrong to me. It's missing an S.

I think that the clue contains all that is needed.

.. unless a missing S is intended. But we've got no way of knowing whether it is or if it's another mistake.

And it has been corrected in a revision:

There was an error in last Fridays clue. The clue should read:
Wt “Hvs eiwqy pfckb tcl xiadg cjsf hvs zonm rcu” kcfysr tcf hmdwbu hvsb wh gvcizr kcfy og o qzis tcf kvoh zshhsfg hc igs.

Silly me. Even after all the past sloppiness and inconsideration, I STILL thought that an "error" of that magnitude had to be intentional. Given that it used 24 letters originally, and that 2 letters are on a "treasure hunt of their own", I thought it might mean something.

And he's sorry. Do I get the 2 days of wasted time back?

Here's a fun thought. If you're running a contest with prizes worth quite a lot of money and effort, and if the clues are complex involving codes - THEN STOP TYPING THEM IN ON A PHONE AND PROOF THEM! It's not rocket science to put it in a solver BEFORE you click "post". This has happened too many times.

I agree, I spent so many hours thinking I had found something clever with the missing 'H' of DUTCHMAN in the main title of the chapter, how could this have been missed before publication.
