# Thread: CHAPTER 4 - discussion and clues

1. I believe we are all over-evaluating the clues. It says you have to use all of the letters to solve it and with that I leave this tidbit: What letter does the word "Ron" form?
R=18 O=15. N=14
Add the steps . The number is 47=U
Did I use all the letters?

How many people believe the final answer is encrypted? I'm don't think it is.

Yes, but now you are stuck with a number that is out of the key range 1-20 so you need to either throw it out or perform yet another operation on it. Thats not easier than I think.

4. New clue no key given. Apparently Ron does not care that interest is waining. That will not help book sales.

In Chapter 3 Ron released a key for the 7th clue.22 clues into chapter 4 and no keys yet.

You think that once we know one key it will confirm everything?

6. Not sure if knowing one key would solve the whole thing just knowing it. The clues are repetitive on their meaning so I am guessing they were pre-made and released in order. That and I really do not think Ron wants this one to be solved until ge gets his end of the year book sales.

Finding the alpha and omega starting points is a very difficult challenge in C4 given the huge amounts of misdirection and apparent interference from non-native sequences from at least one other chapter or gold eagle in C4. It also doesn't help that two different chapters appear to use twos as a basis for their solution in slightly different ways which means that its nearly impossible to tell their relationships apart.

Still, I think I'm in the right general neighborhood and will keep guessing away... Unless I'm simply a victim of yet another herring!

Clearly Ron is trying to drive home the "2" theme.exactly what he means I'm not sure.

It's all about interpretation.let's hope he releases a key soon!

10. Oh those Peraltas. At least twice to figure out the Peralta stones. They did find the mine before anyone else. Is that the real clue?
