Here's something that I have suggested to a couple of you by private message but I don't think I have said it publicly. From early on, I've also thought that the solution will be tied somehow to the operation of a sextant.
The FB Clue: Jan 23rd, 2015… If east is least and west is best keep this in mind when tracking the sun as it sets on the prize. And the Chapter Summary: Going through his dad’s things, he finds several strange documents that bring many things to light about his family’s past, and have serious bearing on Jonathan’s own present and future."

Sextant results are read in coordinates, of course, and can be as defined as 2 lines of 10 digits each in this format:
Latitude - DD mm ss.ssss (degrees, minutes, seconds)

    Longitude - DD mm ss.ssss

Of course this kept me trying sextant coordinates for a couple weeks. To no avail. Perhaps it will be helpful to someone with more brainpower. Maybe it's a herring. But it would make sense with a chapter all about ship navigation and so on.

I wish Doc was around. I actually believe this chapter starts and finishes with an X. The beginning is equal to the end.

If you are looking for a tap, then go look at both sides of the double eagle gold coin link I posted a couple posts back. If you manage to get to the end, I believe the "other" gold coin will help you confirm your path.

Not much of a riddle, I think I spelled it out. Look on the other side of the coin. The front has the double eagle. You will find your X on the other side.

The thing is, all of these solutions are mashed together. A lot of the facebook clues are not only clues for the current chapter, but for other chapters too. This shouldn't be entirely surprising, since the clues in the book itself are arranged like this too... hints for all sorts of different things sprinkled all over the place.

While it makes solving anything with any confidence nearly impossible even 3+ years into the hunt, it is at least an interesting idea.

You are correct about clues being mashed together. So let's go back to C4 clues again and confirm the other side of the coin.
Your first step may be too large to take... C5Q19

Actually, the front is the Lady Liberty side and the back has the eagle. (It's only one eagle as the "double" part simply means $20 instead of $10 which was the original Gold Eagle coin.)
But I'm still not seeing what you're trying to point out. Blind and stupid I guess. )

What weighs more, a pound of gold or a pound of feathers? The gold coin has both gold an feathers in Q7. Look on the other side of the coin....to see the date it was minted, and you will find an X. 1924. Additionally, with a bit of extra research, you will find the gold coin in the online archives "twice".
