    YES!

Why is 'A few minutes later...' significant?

It ties itself to the phrase later in the paragraph: ten to twenty minutes later.

These had nothing to do with the Facebook solution, but they're a big step of the 'real' solution.

The phrase 'ten to twenty minutes later' has a direct connection to the omega key, dove key, and scratched out key.

    They're locations are identical.

The artwork containing the three keys are located 'AT THE END OF CHAPTER 8 AND THE BEGINNING OF CHAPTER 9'. First = last.

The phrase 'ten to twenty minutes later' is 'AT THE END OF LINE 8 AND THE BEGINNING OF LINE 9'.

The phrase at the start of the chapter, 'A few minutes later' is BEGINNING OF FOUR.

What's at the beginning of four? 1-2-3.

There's more occurring here than was originally realized.

    Keep the thoughts flowing,

And I hope you understand some of the ramifications to this....

The end of ATE and the beginning of NINE....

is the beginning of the chapter 1 solution.

I suppose I am saying this, because I see it even more in the current chapter, I'm just not going to discuss that at the moment.
Funny how our minds play tricks with us... your recollection of the II clue is a bit embelished... it actually said 'my job is to help you'. Going back to my weird wording comment, I often try to write down some of the text and clues a few minutes after reading them and then compare to the actual text... it's amazing how often our minds just add or modify stuff and I was hoping to uncover some 'useful' deviation from the way someone would normally word a phrase in order to place a clue or anagram... unfortunately none so far as I can tell.

Ahhh, you are correct again I believe. Just hurry up and win the chapter then I lost my laptop that had my C1 clues, so I'm going by a memory about 4 years. Back on topic to C4 connections though.

-The year from Q7 USS arizona is alpha keys 8 and 9 "19-13."
-Q13 london bridge (Lake Havasu City) was dismantled (stone by stone) in 1967. 19 is connected 13, 6 to 7. Ford's theatre connected to bridge? Ok, could be stretching it a bit, but Golden Gate Bridge | Ford's Theatre
-Q16 alexander the great, from wikipedia: Greek historian Arrian (Lucius Flavius Arrianus 'Xenophon' c. 86160) described Alexander as: [T]he strong, handsome commander with one eye dark as the night and one BLUE as the sky.
Q16 conenction wraps around to Q14 (keys on all three sides, left, right, top/bottom). Q14 of course we are familiar with the BLUE semi precious stone...

I'm generally having trouble with the number ones from sudoku, but I don't think we will learn that for several chapters yet.

In a way. Think of questions and answers more as clues rather than keys. Clues to what? Well, it's quite complicated...

I think we are actually making a real conversation finally...almost onto something.

My three key mumbo jumbo is more about 3 keys tied to a fourth, but in no particular order. One of them is always in the other half of the solution (the above or below). Makes sense to me. Easy to spot connections in the solution than pulling it off cold without the answer.

So...say you have some connections between questions, answers, chapter text. In theory, with the hints you *might* come across the sequence. Wouldn't hurt to be expecting this or that in your sequence as validation. I'm sort of thinking this way to check my answer now. The exact quote of how to arrange the keys is as follows:
Once you have correctly answered all twenty questions for that chapter the treasure map for that chapter will be made available to you. Arrange the keys from the chapter in the correct order and submit your answer. The clues to getting the correct sequence are hidden in the chapters, questions, on our web site, and the sponsors' web sites. If you are the first person to submit a correct answer, we will notify you within 14 days. You may submit one answer every 24 hours for each chapter.

It is nice in theory. Wait until you get to the layers of misdirection and you'll be ready to throw your hands in the air. Finding relevant clues is the easy part.

Keep posting, please. It helps stimulate the gray cells.

Gizmo, I was surprised to hear you say something about a fourth key, because there's clues running around implying that, but I really hadn't put the connection together until you posted that.

    Be on the lookout for 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 3 - 2 - 1.

That numerical sequence is one of the many things I hadn't figured out on the first pass.

So, keep posting your ideas out there. It may help someone else's lightbulb pop.

Well, I only read chapter 9 very very recently. Pg165.."Kidd had taken care that only he knew all four of the locations where he had buried his treasure". It happens a couple other times in the chapter as well. Probably didn't hurt that we have a clue with four in it either. Three keys...to get to the fourth.

Doc, I think you guys had it all wrong. It's not three keys with something missing. It's three keys to get to the fourth. And yes, the beginning still equals the end.

Did you receive an email that stated new clues would be released on Wednesdays now?

Think of the puzzle like a baseball field. I think there was a Facebook clue that used the same comparison. You've got to travel around the bases before you actually arrive at home.

    You can't solve a map until you make it through 1 - 2 - 3.
