I find it kind of pathetic that an overwhelming number of posts in this entire SQ forum are devoted to the screw ups that SQ has made rather than discussions about solving the scroll.

And while we are on that topic, what do you all think about Tweleve "demoting" ScrollQuest to just "other hunts" rather than a sponsored hunt?

I for one say that it is about time Tweleve supported their members.

This is the most offensive thing anybody's said on these threads to date. If you think that the admins and mods aren't supportive, of us, our rights to free expression, and of the hunts themselves, then you just haven't been paying attention. Consider all the behind-the-scenes work they do to get us interviews and better deals on treasure hunts, and how quickly these few people delete inappropriate posts. Think of how hard they work to give us a community with holiday hunts and add-ons like twollars. At all times have these guys been supportive of us.

You have absolutely every justification to flame Scrollquest, but hands off our mods and admins. These four are gold.

Beth, regarding the demoting, well, I think it's in fair repraisal for all the issues surrounding SQ. I for one want to see them succeed, but Tweleve can't be on the hook for promoting them if people aren't getting their purchases.

Regarding your second comment, I don't see it. Perhaps I am misinterpreting it, as you seem like a very nice, calm person. There is no question that Tweleve supports their members and I know that absolutely, from personal real experience.

I say, keep the pressure on SQ to perform, keep looking for the treasures and let's get them found!!

I think what I wrote about Tweleve supporting their members is being misunderstood. I was only referring to the problems with ScrollQuest. Perhaps I should have stated it as "I think it is about time that Tweleve supported their members in regard to the problems we are having with ScrollQuest."

Spiderman, I agree with you about the admins and mods...they do work hard to get us some great treasure hunts, interviews, discounts on books, etc...Tweleve has done a great job in creating this wonderful treasure hunting community. But the problems with ScrollQuest have been going on for far too long. Way back when, it was obvious that Tweleve recognized that a problem existed when they attempted to get a list of SQ customers that did not get the goods that were promised to them. As far as I know, not much was resolved after compiling that list. Even more and more problems occurred. I even wrote to Tweleve myself and asked them if something could be done. More time went by, more unkept promises were made by SQ, and still nothing was done. Finally, Tweleve has stepped up and stripped SQ of their sponsorship. I applaud this move. But I feel that it should have been done sooner.

    Interesting.

Fun adventures I have had, thus far, on my "thoughts" of possible GG solves, but that's just because I live in NC and have a whale of an imagination. Alas, I can say that with all this being said and implied, it does make for some unsure "looking" and heavy hearted searches in places that sometimes you just downright believe the clues to be pointing. With this being said, I have found myself more and more on a possible solve location doubting the very existance of a coin placement. Though I have only searched 3 States and come up empty, as far as a treaure is concerned, I have seen some places afar and close to home that I never knew existed or had no idea of the history and purpose of...plus I have made some great e-friends/treasure pals or whatever you want to be called (you know who you are) with the possibilities of lasting friendships abound...for these things I AM GRATEFUL.

I would also be grateful knowing the coins are still where the were placed and just as accessible as before with the holdout hopes that a find and the accompaning treasure does await.

Like I said, I have a whale of an imagination. Or is that a porpoise?

Enjoy 'the ride' ... On On Domino

I have not heard any information that would say that the coins are not in their hidden spots.

    perhaps others can advise.

    wow!

It's quite appalling to read all of these posts! Whew! I don't have the slightest idea what has happened to ScrollQuest, but I do hope that SQ realizes that their credibility has been lost. It is plain obvious in the voices of the "previous SQ supporters"

Evan, I certainly appreciate your efforts to answer as much as you can, and I sincerely wish you and Jason and whoever else is part of SQ a tremendous amount of strength in trying to deal with what SQ has become.

I am probably a minority, as I don't think SQ has dealt us a bunch of "caca"...the hunts were fun, the comraderie was fun, etc, etc. However I do believe that the continued empty promises are more than we can take. I too have paid and not received my book.

    good luck, SQ.
