Default for those intersted in an answer

back in November 2006 i came upon scrollquest at NekoCon, a small time Anime convention. Believing in them i purchased their scrolls and immediatly began to work on them. Well in a few short weeks i believe i answered the Riddles to "the Idol of Xi." my friend and i took a road trip to the loaction (16 hour drive straight through) and confirmed our answer. though we did not locate the supposed "coin" we only strengthed our belief that the loacation we discovered was infact the inteded hiding place.

After sometime of waiting and fighting w/ Scrollquest i've decided to realease my adventure. so for anyone who wants to know..this is where i believe the coin should be ^_^

list of clues go as follows:
    1. Very obvious-- "West of the Great Penninsula". The penninsula being FLorida; many were looking inland but the script obviously points to a locataion touching the sea.
    2. West. the clue "west" is seen several times, in the above line and in bold lettering "West...first marker." hm..lets see...Florida+West=Key West
    3. Amind the scroll you will find many random letters, that when placed together form an anagram for "Whom Tolls" I believe this to be a reference to a book titled For Whom the Bell Tolls written by Ernest Hemingway. (with a little research i discovered that Hemingway once lived in Key West and a museum now stood at his home.)

so we have the location..but where at the museum?
two clues pointed to the same spot!!!

    4. the red caligraphy adorning the pages-when pieced together formed the words "Coarse Gulch Path" a fairly easy anogram for "a church gospel." (so somewhere on the page were looking for a reference to a gospel)
4 1/2. Xi..yes the name of the Idol. Xi is both a ruman and greek numeral, 11:14. we have our gospel! this gospel is a tale of a cursed fig tree?!?!

The Hemingway museum housed a fig tree. emphasis on housED. the image below (assuming it works) is the spot where the cursed tree once stood. Cursed to death by a hurricane in '05 the fig tree died and had to be removed in Aug, '06 (1 month after the scroll was released!) If you will notice the foliage around the open spot they are all 2 colors, red and green; which brings us to our last clue

    5. the knife- the sacraficial knife in the story was displayed as clear, green, and red much like our plant life SURROUNDING the CURSED fig tree.

well my friends..we dug, we climbed, and we scanned every inch of that area and all in vain. there was no coin. but i do believe that this is indeed the location where it "sits" if it even exists. this is of course unless they released its location and I'm completely wrong and i just overlooked it making me look a fool..if thats the case..IGNORE THIS!!!!

OH..and the museum also is home to over 40 CATS (hint at a jaguar)

Terestai, you don't look like a fool. No more so than the rest of us for going on a fool's errand. Even if you had the correct solution and found the coin, you would be stuck with only that.

It looks like you had a fun road trip at the time. Thanks for sharing it.

I also used Hemmingway for the clue, and that lead me to Jordan Park in Utah. Didn't actually go there, luckily. Turned out to be wrong.

unfortunately SQ owes me nothing. I purchased both scrolls in cash at a convention, and the trip i took was on strictly my behalf. Although $200+ went into the trip no legal avenue could award me that money. So the only thing between SQ and me is my loss of respect for them...i actually considered finding the next convention they plan on going to and protesting

Feel free to print out a copy of what they still owe Twelevers and record your conversation. Jason has tried to make it sound as though everyone has received what is due. Maybe you can interview him regarding this matter and put it on you tube. Ask him questions such as" What does soon mean to you?" And, "Why are there no official rules regarding the kruggerand hunt?"
Welcome to Tweleve and have fun in other areas, there is a wide range of activities so look around and have fun!
