One of my all time favorites, The Secret was published in 1982 by Byron Priess. 12 casques containing keys redeemable for jewels were hidden, 11 in the US and 1 in Canada. In 1983, 2 guys dug up the first treasure in Grant Park Chicago. The hunt went dead for 21 years until 2004 when Egbert from the Quest4Treasure forums dug up a discolored 22 year old casque out of the cleveland Cultural Gardens. Needless to say this was a huge deal for the few working this puzzle over there. Egbert met with Byron and recieved his prize. Tragically, Byron died in a car accident a few months ago. As Im sure he would have liked, the hunt goes on. Progress has slowed with this one and as I believe puzzles are created to be solved, I hope this will help expose the hunt to someone who might help solve a location! If you want, you may start discussion here but I recommend you check out:
http://www.quest4treasure.co.uk/foru...php?board=32.0 Quest4Treasure is listed in our links here: http://www.tweleve.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1639 I am an moderator on this forum and it is a very complete recollection of everything that has gone down in this hunt for the past few years. I would like to offer to help with the bandwidth burden (as the book is out of print) by hosting the high res scans here. I recommend STRONGLY that you get the book used on amazon, its a full 221 pages! high res scans and verses. They are over 60 megs so it will take a bit to download. ![]() ![]() |

Originally, I had trouble finding it on Amazon too. I found it listed on Alibris, and learned the "main" author is Sean Kelly. I was able to find the book on Amazon when I searched with his name. You can also search the ISBN number (ISBN: 0553014080). There were about 20 copies available yesterday, ranging from $10 to about $90. I ordered a copy from a nearby used bookstore. |

You should also keep an eye on eBay. I picked up a copy for a total of about $5 a month or two ago.
It's pretty sweet. moscow
