For newcomers...
A message board devoted to The Secret has already existed for several years, and quite a lot of work has been done already. It would be to everyone's benefit to thoroughly familiarize themselves with what has already been discovered and suggested before wasting time and energy reinventing wheels: http://www.quest4treasure.co.uk/foru...php?board=32.0

Thanks for all the info on this hunt! The pictures are amazing! It's tragic that the author died and can't see the end of his hunt. Is the hunt now simply a hunt to "solve" the puzzles and find the keys? Was anyone left in charge of the hunt in his passing? Just curious.

Moscow/Fox/C3-
Since you three seem to be the old-timers on this hunt, I was wondering which I/V pair you think is the most interesting, most likely to fall, etc. In a nutshell, I find the whole Secret thing rather fascinating, but at the same time, there's just SO MUCH. If I'm going to spend any time on this, I'd rather start off with just 1 of them. Then, when I get sufficiently sucked in, I can start on the others. In the meantime, what are your thoughts for a good starting one? Thx, Steve

Steve-
I am hardly an oldtimer on this hunt. I got on board a few months ago and haven't really had a lot of experience with it. I am enjoying it though. I'm focusing my efforts towards Image #11 right now. I really think that the lat/long clues indicate Salt Lake City, so I'd really like to find it if its here. So far there has been no verse matched to it. One of the reasons I like this one is that while some work has been done on it on Q4T, it's been largely ignored. If you head over to Q4T, there is a thread called "What has been found" or something like that. F_B has modified a table that egbert originally made. it's in one of the last pages of the thread and it outlines which pics have been matched to which verses and tentative locations for each. Pretty cool. Cheers- moscow

Yes Steve, I am indeed an oldtimer...nay, THE oldtimer of this hunt. I started the thread over at Q4T several years ago and am still entranced by The Secret.
So, now getting to your question about the P/V pairings. To be perfectly honest, the only 2 pairings we are sure of are P5V12 & P4V4..the 2 that have been found. The others are still pretty much in the air. Matchings that most of us gravitate towards most of the time are: -P8V1 = Hermann Park in Houston, TX. The V is pretty much set in stone however some still wonder about the P. -P1V7 = San Francisco somewhere. There are several P's that seem pretty concrete but no V's matched up yet: P2=Charleston SC, P6=Florida?, P7=New Orleans, P10=Milwaukee & P12=NYC (however there was just a pretty good argument linking P3 to NYC recently posted at Q4T) There are also V's that seem pretty obvious w/o a P: V3=Boston, V6=Florida (I believe) yet this was the matching V w/ P3 of above NYC theory, P11=Roanoke or Lost Colony near Wright Bro monument. You would be a great addition to The Secret crowd and cant wait to hear some of your thoughts. It has taken 20+ yrs to find casque #2, let's not wait another 20 for the third to be found. 8)

Thanks for those quick responses guys. I actually spent a fair amount of time reading up on the Hermann Park thing in Houston (that was the zoo, right?) over on the Q4T board. I thought the pictures you posted were pretty dead on, so I was surprised to see you say that there is still some question about that aspect. Didn't the author verify there was a casque there before he passed on?
It was funny; although I only made it through about half of the 33 pages or so for that verse, pretty much every one of my ideas was thoroughly analyzed (even the snow cone machine!) So I don't know if I'll have any more to add to that one! Sometime soon I plan on picking one and sticking with it (although like you said, hopefully not for 20 more years!) Thanks, Steve

Is it worth it to actually buy a copy of the book? They are quite pricey.
I mean, the hi-res scans are excellent, is there anything to be gained by the actual pics? And, lastly, how big is this book? For those of you that own it...Is it big like ATT or just regular hard or softback size? Thanks Jen |
