Awesome, I am excited for you on this. No way you made me mad, this is cool. I like when folks are "on site" and get after their theories. Hey,

I find the hardest part of being onsite for the physical aspect of a hunt is keeping the proper logical perspective.
When onsite, your brain is filled with all the clues, ideas, and theories you have cooked up beforehand. Most times, you expect to see some affirmation at the site that you are at the correct place. You head is filled with so many facts and images, and you are hoping that something fits and the solution gels into place. One of the things evolution has made our brains exceptionally good at is pattern matching. When onsite, you will be matching whatever comes across your path to whatever is in your head from the hunt. The good news is, if you are in the correct location, you will probably solve the treasure hunt. The bad news is, if you are not in the correct location, you will probably find so many things that fit so well into your clues that you will swear you are in the right place. Or, maybe somebody got there before you and removed the treasure. Or, maybe you are in an even better place than the sponsor thought of as a solution. It is usually very exciting to be on the physical portion of a hunt. If you have not done it, you should. It is good for the soul (figuratively speaking). -Rusty

I wish the diggers good luck.
The image of the hoof and dog along with the checkered pattern gives me pause. Since others have found the same image on the Club Mont Stephen in Montreal. I have done some more searching online. There is a famous canadian checkers organisation in Montreal. The reception garden building at the botanical garden in Montreal has the ziggarat shape from the collar. the two found casques were in large public gardens. I sincerely hope that you are right about St Louis but if not keep on trying. Of course these are my thoughts ![]() |
