Posted this on the other forum as well, but wanted to share here too.

Just wanted to post an observation that can't be random.

The quote in the book that the author provided us was from page 103.

    There are 103 shape codes.

On the front and back of the Create a ring page, there are 103 lines of HBC.

Each of the chant spells show a picture that feature 3 elements - line, circle, triangle. 1-line 0-circle -3-triangle.

In order to solve this, we have to put the code into a circle, and we need to interlock 3 separate circles. The code is not solvable in a straight line. It could be that once the HBC gets swirled correctly, it actually will form letters.

It is important that each code string is a different size. I think the circles fit inside each other, and "lock" into place. I had played around with the words around the eclipse spells. The words around each are a different diameter, and when you align them inside each other, you can lock those circles in place by lining up Command you and now. Not a coincidence that it lines up like that.

I also believe that you don't use all of the symbols. Some of them are just there to help you align the different lines.

As I mentioned yesterday, I am now pretty convinced that the shape codes were intended to be 2 separate puzzles. I think the shape code is scaled down version, and I still think we are better off starting there. Just my opinion.

    Default Another Clue ??

    Lindenmi,

I tend to agree with you that we have more to find here. I have sent Mike what has been posted and have not received any rejection or confirmation. I also tend to believe that in the next week we may receive another clue. I have no time frame from Mike that I can disclose, that is just my humble opinion.

and yes the press release was issued as we had discussed as follows.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SANIBEL, Fla., July 1, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- New York Times bestselling author, Michael Stadther, announces that he will release clues that will lead to breaking the unsolved code in his worldwide treasure hunt, Secrets of the Alchemist Dar which contained clues to win 100 diamond rings worth $2,000,000.

His first book, A Treasure's Trove, also led to a hunting and puzzle-solving frenzy where 14 families and groups looked for and found gold tokens hidden around the United States. The hunters were rewarded by redeeming the tokens hidden by Mr. Stadther for over $1,000,000 in real jewels on the TV morning show Today with Katie Couric.
The second treasure hunt ended in 2007 when Mr. Stadther's company, A Treasure's Trove, was forced into involuntary bankruptcy ending the hunt which, had it continued, would have ended in 2009
Nonetheless, the codes in the book were never solved even though thousands of people around the world worked alone and collaborated together over the internet. Even today, many 'Trovers,' as they are called, try to decipher the mysterious sun and moon symbols in the book with parts written in a language called 'Hest.'

Mr. Stadther has issued previous hints to the code saying: 'Hest is English' and 'Anyone who can read English can read Hest.' But now he is promising to release frequent clues until the code is deciphered. Even though there is no possibility for someone to win a ring, Trover's are still interested in knowing a solution to their hard work.
Many of the secrets in his latest book have been discovered, such as the title, Secrets of the Alchemist Dar, which anagrams into 'The Secrets of Michael Stadther'. Yet, the mysterious Hest has not been de-coded.
Mr. Stadther's first world-wide hint is from page 103 of his book.

All new hints will appear on the website:

Good Luck all, remember as the article says clues will first hit www.Trovers4Ever.com then I will move them to Digi's forum as that is where I believe the discussion should take place.
Digi has put a lot of work into that forum, we owe it to him to use it, IMHO.

    Again, Good Luck....

I read this post a few minutes ago. It was from September 2006

On page 110, it says that Zac was able to read the symbols on pages 16-19 of the spell book "as if it were a children's book." While I believe these pages will probably take some serious decoding, it's worth thinking about how children's books are read (focusing on the pictures, connecting the dots, etc.).

I thought it was funny they mentioned "connecting the dots", which is what is being done with the clue....

I really like the idea of connecting the dots, especially in the context that we have to rearrange the symbols first. It would mean that the "code" really is in plain English and not just a cipher. It would also eliminate a lot of the "gray areas" we are seeing with trying to form letters with the symbols.

Makes it also likely that most of the symbols are actually meaningless, except beyond use in the proper rearrangement. Could just be connecting the dots on the shaded symbols.

Thanks for this clarification. No rings. Just a puzzle. I'm ok with this.

This holds true for multiple scenarios such as R, G and M, E...

The bigger issue is I am not sure that all of the pages of the HBC play by the same rules.

In our most recent clue each letter only has one shaded symbol and that also indicated the end of a letter. I do not believe this to be true in the HBC and there may be numbers in the HBC like on page 16 first line there is a run of moons and dots that could not fit to any letter.

Any how I am still working on it and will let you see what I find if anything once it makes some sense to me.
If the black dot represents a vertex connected to two lines, then this can only be an F.

    AnotherDoth,

That is what Mike explained to me when we opened this clue session. But I wanted to wait for the press release from Mike so you would have verification of the clues being from Mike and the hunt results.

Best of luck, I know I need it, I do not have any more information that any other Trover.

Can someone direct me to the old BOS pg 6 code where someone rotated one string and combined it with the other to get a single string of symbols. I think that page will play a part as a key to unlocking these dot to dots.

No question is a stupid question if you don't
know the answer. Stupid is not asking.
