Ok.. We have the same book quote as before about the symbols swirling... When looking at the symbols , i cant help thinking morse code with a bunch of extra symbols in to throw you off.. Even the crescents could be considered a dash.... The question is, are the red symbols the ones to read or the signifier of a new word...

The thing that strikes me looking at the lines of HCB is there are 3 lines, each of different lengths. One large one, and two smaller ones, with one slightly bigger than the other. It reminds me of the teardrop code

I think we are supposed to make an eclipse out of them. There must be a way we line these up and form our code. With the teardrop code, there were overlapping patterns that you could align to lock them into place.

Was the teardrop code ever solved? I dont remember anyone finding a solution for that one.. The wiki shows it as unsolved still...

So far all I have thought of is that the characters are all right justified in this clue, which leads me to believe that a simple rotate or mirror image would make them left justified as we general use in the English language. I would think this would take care of the swirl part of the code now we just need to coalesced the symbols together some how.

Well that is all I have so far I am going to work on it more tonight.

The teardrop code was never definitively "solved" to my knowledge. However, there were several observations that could have been made about that code. The pentagon was only upside down on page 2, which led many to believe it was upside down. As I mentioned, there are groups of repeating symbols in the strings on pages 2 and 5 that would allow you to align the strings in a specific position. I have posted a lot in the past about the shape symbols and these repeating pairs. I am not sure they are necessarily a solvable puzzle as much as they are a tutorial on how to manipulate the HCB. I think the fact that everything is right-justified versus the center-justified of the HCB is hinting that alignment and justifcation is important.

Here is an image that I created in a mirror from the original.

I kind of think it will be mirrored since the part in the book references the light spell which would be mirrored.

I am now trying to decide how many charaters are in each line.

Sorry there was a mistake in the last image. This is also one of the reasons I think it is mirrored not rotated.
The bottom line has the single small circle at the bottom not the top.

Here is just a thought. Note I did move charaters to put in black lines.

This idea kind of falls under the 5 bit code idea like the page numbers.

May mean nothing and I could have this way off.

Default Come on Digi - Did you have to say Base 5.,...Arghhhh

    Digi,

We ventured that Base 5 theory road 5+ years ago, I think it has merit, I think this will fall into place once we open our minds to see what Mike has provided.

If anyone would like to share thoughts please do, as Steve said above lets create a Brain Trust and solve this as we came into this together, we go out together.

Hey Guys, I think i got it.

The Code reads "THE ALCHEMIST DAR". But I can't exactly get the method worked out just yet. Look at the shaded symbols as dividers. Each line has 3, 9, and 3 shaded symbols, respectively (same numbers as THE ALCHEMIST DAR has letters). If you divide the lines up where the shaded symbols are, the letters that appear more than once (T, H, E, and A) are remarkably similar.

Gonna look at it a little more tonight, I'll try going into chat.
