    Default Snail solved?

Hi all, Steve (bass021) asked me to post what's happened in the last few hours.

Below is a copy of what I just posted on the p.66 dots on the snail page thread. You'll have to follow Pagoda's reasoning for the dot values, since it's been a long time without sleep for us & I can't remember.

Ok, pagoda was extremely close. The AERA & CIP are correct, but you have to start reversing your pairs after that, just as the words do on the page. (I think--Steve took the notes w/ him when he left last night).

ANYWAY -- what then comes out spells ANITA SP PICNIC AREA.

This coincides with the ANITA LAKE STATE PARK in Iowa. If you print out the park map it neatly overlays with the drop cap letter map, and the fairy is in fact pointing at a picnic area.

Steve left last night to drive to Iowa (we live in Dallas) to get the token.

THE BAD NEWS: there was one tree with a knot hole at the picnic site, but no token -- and no token in any of the other knot holes in any of the other trees by all of the picnic areas in the park.

Sooo, maybe someone has it & it hasn't been announced yet?

I think one is in Georgia, I am about 80 percent sure I know where. At some point we all have to step up and get on a plane or let the clue go. I still can't decide which way to go. Take that step of faith. Good luck
...but remember, it's all speculation until the token is in your hand.

Default my lack of a find

TO ALL: yes I did know it was in Lake Anita... if you look at my credit card statement (yea right) you would know I had reservations... man how I wish I were in college again and did not have the responsibility of a JOB. It really would have been worth the find... on a TUESDAY no less. Congrats to all the winners... wish me luck with the spider!!! - Abbs
