# Thread: Dream Song from SB

1. ## Dream Song from SB

Here's the explanation of the Dream Song from page 12:

Decoding the Dream Song

Zac couldn't understand that the letters of the first line of the song should be put in order by the number of letters in each word of the second sentence. The M in "Moon like" shoud be placed in the seventh position of a new sentence because there are seven letters in the first word, "Dreamer." The nex letter, o, should be placed in the third position becasue "one" has three letters. Continuing for all the letters of "Moon like, moon like," creates the new sentence: "Look in me, look in me."
"Look in the knothole" is what the trees were singing. Finally, all the trees in the book have knotholes.

2. Pffft ....easier to anagram it

MiMi

3. What about the rest of it..."Dreamer one on ending"...etc. Is there any explanation for that...or just more nonsense so we would know to do something with it?

4. ## Song...

That is all that is written about the song. I typed the whole quote.

5. Cabunk-

This is the way I understand it:

12345678
MOONLIKE, MOONLIKE

Dreamer = 7
one=3
on=2
ending=6
I=1
cause=5
your=4
puzzling=8

take the 1st letter (M) and put it seventh place

1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8
_ _ _ _ _ _ M _

take the 2nd letter (O) and put it in the third spot

_ _ O _ _ _ M _

etc etc until you get

LOOK IN ME-

I agree that it was easier to anagram, but it does explain that there has to be a method to the madness when anagraming.

Cheers-

6. Thanks Moscow...
I'd forgotten about that part of it, seeing how it was such a clear anagram.

8. It's funny, because I was working (again) on this 'puzzle' when I found this recent thread.

If 'Dreamer one' is on the ending, then in a 5x5 it ought to be the last 10 letters. The last 15 letters of the Dream Song are '..use your puzzling'.

OK, I'll 'Use your puzzling' for the first 15 letters of the 5x5.

The 25 letters in order are 'Use your puzzling, dreamer one'.

I don't get anywhere with it. I applied the grille from page 86 to it, beginning with the grille rotated East, and got 'Oz mans RL' for the first 8 letters. It goes downhill from there, not surprisingly.

There's something compelling about this odd Dream Song. I'll probably never give up trying to shake something out of it.

## dreamer song

way back i noticed all the words were numbers 1 thru 8 in the dreamer song
[ i on one your cause ending dreamer puzzling ] and never got anywhere
with that info. ie numbers for line read the way it is wrote are
[ 7 3 2 6 1 5 4 8 ] could never get that info to go anywhere so have mostly
given up on it. i think i read on tweleve gems that the letter count will cause a sentence to flow and sound funny because of the number of
syllables,and vowels and such i think it had a name, dont remmber what
it was. maybe that is why the sentence has a funny sound to it.

## MY THOUGHTS ON DREAMER SONG

"moon like, moon like, Dreamer one on ending, I cause your puzzling.

If you write it over and over again" They repeated the song over and over....."and place the first letter after the last on each line you'll have a line that says

"use your puzzling. Moon like, moon like, Dreamer one on ending. I ca"
Dreamer one on ending anagrams to= need a moon rendering.
pages 58 and 68 have pictures of a waning crescent moon however clouds are covering part of it in 58 so these should be disregarded because they aren't "like"
pages 21 and 31 each have similiar waxing crescent moons. I think tese 2 pages should be use together in some way.
