1. i hope no one has found the answers online and are just entering them in...

I went to look at the notes for that Centerfold cryptic crossword, and the solution is already found, but not a whole lot going on in the notes for this one. I puzzled over several of those clues and was hoping to see more action in the notes.

I don't mind if that's going on, i just hope it isn't.

still having fun!

2. Thanks for the information about the chronometers. I hadn't thought of the mirrors on the inside of the diagram, although I knew about the "bouncing" back on to letters that had already been used.

Sometimes I've added a note asking how the final solution was found, but I'm having a problem keeping up with the puzzles and remembering which one is which. For instance, I would like to know how the answer "twelve" was found from the pairs of words in the Timepieces puzzle at Gas Station.

Some of notes are telling me that there are puzzles here like ones in MUMS. Certainly, I'm coming across types of puzzles I have not met before. I appreciate notes from those who have started on puzzles, because sometimes I just have no idea what to do to get started.

3. WOW all of you here are amazing! I come back from school and all of the puzzles in the first four rings are already solved. Great job everyone! I wish I could be as good as all of you at solving puzzles.

And I love the pointy haired boss puzzle lol it's the only one I could probably solve.

Ah yes, neither j nor I are good at cryptics. I was almost done with the dominos, all the words for the clocks were found, I had downloaded the DROD demo and was playing with it, and we had turned the smilies page and laughed when we realized what it was. The meta was solved, so we could look at answers if we wanted to (which we didn't). But j has this awesome lateral thinking process that we were testing last night. She had some ideas about where the flavortext was heading on the rest of the unsolveds in Ring 4. And checked the ideas against the meta. And I was egging her on to enter them to see if they were right.

Funny thing, the puzzle boat doesn't equate tweleve with twelve, so tweleveoclock is inncorrect, lol.

5. THE ANSWERS ARE POSTED SOMEWHERE!!!!!!

sluggy knows my sense of humor - combined with the experiences of my life - all she needs to do is egg me on and I come up with all kinds of strange observations.

last nights aim session of the two of us brainstorming (we have had a few of these sessions in the past) got me to bed at 7am this morning. I just got up at about 2:15 just in time for my son getting home from school. and I flippin dreamed about some of the puzzles (dilbert stuff) cause I printed off the puzzles and noodled with them before I fell asleep.

when you look at some of these puzzles just by reading the instructions and clues and just look at the images you can get a sense of where it is going - at least that's the approach I take at first. I hate cluttering up my mind overthinking them. and I wind up making jokes of what they might mean. makes you wonder about DAR and the fact that he still maintains that a child could solve it. you know the KISS method!

Puzzle is: Cold Muck: Mordac the Preventer
Clue is: Blocked projection in the distance
