    Default screen width

Tweleve's page width is wider than my screen. How can I see the whole page width without sideways scrolling?

I think some more information is required for anyone to answer your question.

What are your current monitor and video settings at? Does this always happen whenever you view any webpage or justs Tweleve?

I know that with a 1024x800 picture being displayed on a video setting of 640x480 you have to scroll sideways.

This happens almost only on tweleve. It didn't used to happen, then a year or so ago it happened for a little while but then stopped. It has happened since tweleve revamped itself months ago, but I hadn't worried much about it because I haven't been on tweleve much -- I've been using the "Secrets of the Alchemist Dar" site mostly. But I would like to get it fixed now if I can.

My monitor is set at the default for Windows ME, I believe, 600 x 800 pixels.

Are you using Internet Explorer 6? I did a quick search and it appears that IE6 has had this horizontal scroll bug problem for a while. Here is a url to google providing some websites to check out.

Try upgrading your Web Browser or maybe one of those other websites will be helpful.

Let us know if you find anything!

    cryptic,

Thanks for the info. I looked at the types of fixes your search referred me to. I believe they will simply get rid of the horizontal scroll bar even if I need it, so I won't try them -- besides, I don't understand how to do them anyway! And my browser is as updated as it can be. I also tried repairing it in Drop/Add Programs in Control Panel, but that didn't fix the problem.

    cthree,

Thanks for the suggestions. I found I had to increase screen size one jump above what you suggested to make things fit, but the change remained in effect for only several seconds, and when in effect, it shrunk other web pages as well. And I am reluctant to change browsers just for this one site. A lot of things aren't working right in my Windows ME, and I don't want to risk messing up something else. Eventually, the system will probably become unworkable, and then we will buy a new computer. It's not worth paying $100 or so to fix an old one that will just go bad again, when a new one with Windows XP will probably cost "only" maybe $400 to $600.

ah, windows ME, the buggiest, worst version of windows ever sold.

move to XP and those problems will go away.

What about going to "View", "Text Size", "Smaller"?

If you get the new IE 7 ... You can change the zoom level of your window within IE. Custom level or from 50% to 100%. That might fix the issue.

    Visnia,

Thanks, but changing text size in View has no effect on posted messages.

Could you check to make sure that your video cards display setting and your monitors resolution are both set to something like 1024x768?
