Registering an account
Hopefully this will help.
Does anyone know whether new Tweleve user registrations have been cut off altogether? Someone sent the following message to the Tweleve Facebook page a few days ago. I sent a private message to cthree, but have not had a response.
Help! I can't register on the site. Message pops up saying the site is asking for username/password, but every time I fill it out, it pops back up (empty) asking for the same info all over again. Nothing I have tried will let me register and I can't look at some of the things I am interested in. I really want to join this community, but I feel like I am stuck outside the gate looking through bars!!!
Steve, I believe I got you fixed up. Sorry for the hassle.
Puma: Thanks for your vigilance - I believe I got her approved.
maskit: Thank you for linking the instructions.
Can anyone figure out what the glitch might be?I thought I had figured out how to register following the instructions above and sent an email -- also as instructed. I have been able to read the few times I visited, but I did not try to post as I had nothing of interest to say at the time. Just now I went to the website and tried to post something (rather important as it happens -- and something those of you who have any interest left in the so-called World's Greatest Treasure Hunt might care to know.) Everything slammed shut and I was told I didn't have permission to post (or view either apparently). What is it with that site? Do the administrators want to exclude new members? I don't understand this at all! Fort Knox would be easier to access.
I have already seen and responded to both of these posts. I already sent the email and I already registered and received a response. Apparently none of that worked.
Sorry for the issues, I re-approved her.
another message from the guy I mentioned in the previous comment, after I sent him the instructions about how to register:
Okay, thanks. I wish I'd know that before I frivolously tried to change my email address. I've been an active user for 6 years. I check in on tweleve every day and I finally decided to update my email address so I could get notifications of updates and new messages to the address I use the most. Now I guess I'm not a user anymore for a while. Oh well. Thanks for the information.
I figured it out. I didn't realize that the part that said
"You will need to type in your username and activation number on the page that appears when you visit the URL."
and then listed my username and activation number...
...was just a decoy, and that the real username and activation number is the tweleve/notarobot combo.
At least that's how I finally got back in.
Thanks for trying to help, Puma Lion.
I had a user, Dave_Loves_Gold, said he's been trying to post for over a month now, but the site won't allow him to do so. He's able to send private messages, however.
Any ideas on what he can do?
