Many of us "treasure hunted" as kids. This was done in the most basic of ways by walking and looking and finding. I really don't think they/he would deny a win/redemption to someone that just stumbled accross a token.
That said, I do wonder that if the finder of the token knows nothing about this treasure hunt, he may not be able to or understand the redemption instructions.
    Have a great day.

I also agree that the "above earth" statement means they aren't on the ground. But I'm not sure about the "retrieval." I would guess that you do not actually have to move something. Another thing I was wondering about...raccoons are very attracted to shiny objects in holes. What if one of the tokens is "retrieved" by something not human?

I'm guessing that they are fixed to something on a tree (probably near a knothole)... the hole in the sample token shown suggests to me that they will be "among the leaves" (again, maybe in or near a knothole?).

SO, where is a good place to get a small handheld (for using at eye level and not sweeping across the ground) metal detector? What is a good deal and what parameters/specifics should it have (sensitivity level or whatever). Thanks.
Over 1,000 miles travelled in search of 1 token.

Tokens found: zero. (no, I don't expect I'll have to edit this)

    Currently working on: Firefly, beetle.
