Don't forget to check the Tunnels of Zurich thread for information regarding deaddrop.cc. It is still over in the New Hunts and Rumors section, but it should probably be here in the Torment forum. The encryption code in the page source is something new as of today, but much is still the same.

    Tunnels of Zürich

It has long been thought that the deaddrop portal was the entrance for the Tunnels of Zurich puzzle mysteriously mentioned on the grngecko.com message board. The website registration information has always lead back to a hotel in Zurich and a contact person named Ueli Hoffman. The registrant used to be ANON, but since May 5, it has been NWO. The owls, the latin phrase and NWO all hint at some connection with the Illuminati.

Recently Ueli Hoffman has been making quite a few posts on several Beekeeping forums. The same forums also have posts by Greengecko and Johtrit (another GG pseudonym- short for Johannes Trithemius). Bees are also a symbol of the Illuminati, but these posts are so detailed and technical, I have a tendency to believe they are real. I suppose it is possible some might also contain clues for the puzzle, as well.

It also makes me think GG may be a brilliantly mad cryptologist/beekeeper.

    The mind reels.

    If I'm understanding this correctly...

GG posted his "public" key, which is used to encrypt messages sent TO him. He can then use his "private" key to decrypt the message.

Perhaps he posted it as a way of saying he wants people to send him encrypted messages?
I'd do it myself except I'm having major technical difficulties at the moment.

If that is the case, I suppose he'd want people to include their own public keys, so that he could respond using those keys to encrypt response messages? Maybe?

... and now that I've refreshed the page it seems the public key is gone entirely. I am very confused.

I tried importing this key into Gpg4win, and it didn't work. So either I'm doing it wrong, or this key is invalid/incomplete.

I'm comparing it to a sample key on the Gpg4win Compendium, and this key seems much, much bigger. However, I can't tell if it's supposed to be this big or if it is indeed invalid, since I'm not much of cryptographer. :P

Not sure if the length of the key itself matters, but I noticed you also copied the HTML code for comments (the "<!" at the beginning and the ending ">")

Here's the key with it removed, though I don't know if it'll work or why GG posted it to begin with:

The sites have changed... again. >.<
This is the fourth change in a period of a day.

Now both access and access are exactly the same... this wasn't so a few hours ago.

As Pent said, perhaps GG wants us to contact him using messages encrypted with the public key... I don't know when this occurred exactly, but at one point in time, the contact information on WHOIS changed from anon@deaddrop.cc to contact@deaddrop.cc. Perhaps it is an invitation of some sort.

Aas you can see, deaddrop.cc is a login thing. We will need a user of some sort...
Wait... i dont understand... what public key? Can you try to do what you just said please?

Explanation: I was playing with the source code for the site a last night and saw a giant block of code that came out of nowhere. Strangely, though, it's gone now. Apparently it's one of two linked keys that allow encryption of messages. This key, the 'public key', which you'll find in one of my earlier posts, allows for one-way encryption of messages. The message can then only be deciphered by the private key, which should be in GG's possession.

I'm going to attempt to contact GG using a message enciphered by the public key... I feel we're just grasping at straws, but for now, it's the best we can do.
