    Default The Fermilab Code

A mysterious letter was mailed to Fermilab, the national laboratory near Chicago specializing in high-energy particle physics research. The sender of the letter is unknown. The letter was received over a year ago, and its contents have not yet been deciphered. The office of public affairs had made the letter public in the hopes of getting a full decryption.

    Hi rdshackleford,

It may have partially been solved. Here are a couple of articles on the possible solution.

Yes, the top and bottom codes were solved a few days ago. The middle section remains unsolved.

I gather S.F.C. are the initials of the author.

I like this puzzle because I am a physics fan. I get the Fermilab newsletter delivered at home. I toured the Fermilab a few years back while I was on a business trip to the area. It was staggering to think of the brainpower contained inside that building.

I believe that a scientist looking at nonscientific problems is just as dumb as the next guy Richard Feynman but my most favorite one after the bomb went off .............."Where all SOB'S"

Has there been any progress on this?
