Thread: Did anyone try this for clue 4?

Did anyone punch out the flower centers and try to overlay clue 4 on different pages in the book to see if one page shows letters in all the punched out centers?
I was just looking at the clue again and never tried this myself.

lindenmi--I think I remember someone suggesting this early on as a grille cipher, but I don't remember seeing any follow-up on it. Sounds interesting.
