You should have had 2 emails - the first telling you the PDF is on its way and the one with the PDF. The first one has your number. It was done that way in case people had a problem with a 7Mb email attachment! However, the bloke who looks after the computer thingy here reckons he knows who you are (!!) and will send you your number again.

Thanks, Mark, for posting my picture. (Well, my twin sister actually but we are similar...)

And Lizzy, we aren't taking orders for the book at present. On the other hand, we've been 'talking with' the printers and they are now saying that we should be getting them in 3-4 weeks. Why a little thing like printing 100,000 books is giving them a problem I don't know. How many do you want?

Just wanted to let you all know we got a nice email from the author of Winchester Treasure. While there is really nothing besides escrow that would ever "prove" to us that the funds for a hunt were secured we do think that the people behind this seem very honest and are doing this for a good cause. It is a book about Winchester and the hunt is free in a sense. A significant portion of the proceeds will go to charity. It seems like a fair deal from here especially in light of them actually changing a rule on the suggestion of our lizzy and the communication from reps of the puzzle (Winnie). As well it has been called "cool".

So if it helps, I'm gonna buy it! :P

I did buy it a couple of days ago. I'm already over half way through the silver and bronze questions. I'm stuck on the ' window...sound' question.
Many, many years ago, I was visiting in England and we went to tour the Cathedral. I remember our tour guide telling the story about the window, but I can't remember the story itself. Darn! When I find the answer, I won't forget it again This is a great hunt!

How nice of you to have visited - and to have bought the hunt. It's funny but a lot of people get stuck on the 'sound' question. Just to check, I cunningly Googled it just now, to make sure it was available to you chaps and chappesses who are unable to get to Winchester. It was number 7 on my list. But, of course, you need to work out what to ask Google.

Good show! I'm sure the order elf will get it off to you as soon as possible

What we need to see now is you hunters swapping info and seeing if you can answer the questions and solve the puzzle. There are people over here who are getting stuck in. It's like the War of Independence all over again!

Okay, I'll start. Anyone have any ideas for: Near a window you cannot see is a sound you cannot hear. Where? I know Isaac Walton and Jane Austen tombs have windows but I can't find anything referring to this phrase. Any help, please?

I don't have an answer yet, but sound you cannot hear is very high frequency sound, like ultrasonics or dog whistles, etc.
