Hi Winnie, good to hear from you again. Must tell you, I had a great tour around Winchester using your guide ... weather was brilliant ... such a beautiful city.

I must say, you're being a bit conservative with your clues aren't you! You're really only pointing to things we found last year. How about a little hint as to how to use them all. After all, it is Easter time.

Hello Piggy! Yes, we're quite fond of Winchester too. Phil and Alex spend too much time there tour guiding. (Know alls!)

If you think it's Easter time then you really need some help. But everything is there in the book - and lots of people have skirted round what needs to be looked at on the various forums that have a WT section - UK and USA. Trouble is that no one puts it all together I think that gabi chap could be quite close but it might be a case of 'so near and yet so far'...

That sounds like something I like to read

You might be right there, but if I don't give up maybe one day that "so far" will become near, or even better, here!!

Oh come on Winnie, times moving on and I'm getting nowhere, how about a decent clue apart from the Rose Window? How about the Round table? Well that is 'round' as in circle.

May I wish you all a happy St. Swithuns day. May the rain that's dripping down our necks and seeping through our shoes, make the rose window grow and show us those pies.

Winnie tells us that there are three things we need in the right order.

He's spoken about the first - surely all those pies that led us to the Rose Window.

Someone has written about the second - possibly the sentences on each page with the pictures within, that we've been told to count.

He's hinted about the third - must be H.G. Wells's Time Machine.

Trouble is we've not found any of these by reading the poem, and they must all be linked. ?????

The time machine fits with "back and forth in time" from the poem.

See Winnie using Phil's ID? That reminded me of the member "reuse art" that posted a couple of times and disappeared. Could that reused art be a clue that phil-winnie are giving us again to find what appears on every page?

Something I checked months ago but brought me nowhere were the years. Every page seems to have at least one year. I was going to use those years to pulls letters from the circles (pies) to find either a keyword or a ciphertext, but there are too many pages with more than one year to make this a feasible method.

Do you mean that Winnie's pointing us towards an anagram on each page?

I think that Winnie was telling us to take the three "things" in the order he gave us. That would make "back and forth in time" as the last of the three, after we've sussed the letters.

I've recently bought The Winchester Treasure Book, although I've had the downloaded version for some time. It's well worth the cost to buy the book, and one thing I've noticed is that Alexandra has provided the illustrations. That's Phil's Alex I guess, nice illustrations Alex!

Winnie .... when you gave us the hint that "we were looking on the wrong pages as well as the right ones" you were replying to a post from Gabi that said "........ from the starting cryptic letter".

Do you mean that we don't look at the left hand text page, being as they all start with an Anglo Saxon large letter?
