Deep in Blue Dog's eyes will always lurk the hopes and longings of a melancholy people, but, like the Cajuns, who always trained their eyes on the future, Blue Dog must move forward.

Default MS Re: Aspiring Authors, etc.

Beth: Have you considered mentoring aspiring authors?

Mr. Stadther: No we haven’t, but it is certainly something we would consider for the future. We are considerably rich in ideas and opportunities right now. We want to develop a team of writers, authors, idea developers, editing, copy editors, the team that can work with a creator on a project.

A book like A Treasure’s Trove takes thousands and thousands of hours to create and publish. It will only be improved when there are teams of talented people focused on it.

Mentoring certainly something to follow up on.

    cool, eh, insane.....?

Default Ana, the Largest "'Elf' in the Great Forest a poem

    I dance in the square
The lavender square is clean, lean with long lines like tile
They cannot know me, know my strength, my inherent peach, weaknesses
Boxed in, a decade of feet pointing to my picture.
Why am I so large? Green?
So big and pink and wonderful, meaty hands yet carved in limestone grace
Miss my mother's face; faeries overwhelm in majority, only
Who will be my wet nurse?
I wonder, wonder won one ending...

Where is the fruit between my four finger and long, elegant thumb - the escargot; the honey; the extinct lanterns of childhood?
What within my hands, what fairy fortune-tell? Nada. But a clover, a white clover, full and fuzzy
I blow freely, a Big breath, Ana, and wish for what you cannot...
I wish to hear Zac's dusty boots...

    Among other puzzling notions...

    Default Birthday For Yorah

I cry, diplomatically, with the rain; solid as an oak
    The Kootensttopits slide on my branches;
The Pickensrooters' throw acorns filled with Puck's wet laughter..
Dear Polly, I apologize for my haughtiness.
    I cannot see well
Hidden, with Zac, the only man as our eyes - a human
When my leaves were dry and curling like the black tongue of stream -
    I choked.
Coughed back the truth of the life I foster. A box. Wooden, bar-oQue, with
    the Faeries' additional clef...
Why deceive when a creek of consciousness is easily pointed to?
    My point?
    That unfortunately, even Yorah lies...
My sight. My wisdom. My observations..
Half past and half mast...i fear my branches shall become boxes and my counsel a cryptic crevasse?
Yorah is tired and I long for my own leaves to burst...
To expand in green luminaries the thought I feel toward our new ken
    Acorn ken.

Yes. it is more than that....

Where did you get these poems, lucynymph? Can you post links to the websites, or at least give publication citations?
    Thanks!

i believe they are original works of art straight from lucynymph's hands (but could be completely wrong). You saw it here first, folks - years from now you might be able to say "I knew her when..."

She warned me the man was in danger
If he touches the enemy, he would die
I must stop him; stop this from happening
I’m so scared, but he is my master, my friend.

    • The man raised me from birth
He loves me and plays with me
We walk the Great Forest together
And he protects me, as I protect him – my master, my friend
I’ve seen this moment in a dream
Where the light makes me sparkle and glitter
This is what I’ve been waiting for, my end
But I will save him – my master, my friend

    • The man took a wife, a Halfling who shares
The fine house that we live in
She hugs me and holds me, she loves me
I protect Ana – she, too, is my master, my friend
The man is close to the enemy and now is my time
I leap then I fly to the yellow serpent
And clamp my teeth around its misshapen wing
We fall backwards into the sunlight, away from my master, my friend.

    • We discovered that she been taken
I knew it was by the darklings,
Those evil companions of the serpent
But I could not tell my enraged master, my sad friend
As I pull the dark serpent into the light,
It turns black then explodes into pieces
But I cannot move and become still
And I can see the awful darkness settle on me

Before my final darkness closes in, the man and his wife
Emerge from the grotto. Zac and Ana hug me and cry
My end is near but I’m so happy, it’s all worth it
I’ve saved him! My master, my life-long friend.

The darkness is washed away by the rain,
My sight returns; I flex my wings
The twelve creatures beside me have already flown away
I must do the same and return to my home

My flight is so long through the night
But this darkness is nothing compared to the prison I was in
The tree is in sight - I fly through the branches
And go to the man – he holds me, I love his embrace

I have saved Ana and Zac – my masters, my friends.
