tx. and you've got more than a soupcon of Lessing, yourself.

Spidery, the brain’s whorled forest, yes.
    Brave, the heart’s pure dog.

    Could you ever guess
    My thoughts? Lovers,
Let sylphs bed you on clover,
    While salamanders spark the globe.
But in a southern lobe, I crossed
    That poisoned rick: the water
    Glassed, the current blocked.

    Monsieur Cobweb, be so good,
    And fetch me hay.
    Dryads, braid this donkey’s brow.
    I’ll sleep with no checkmate.

    My trail runs widdershams now.
    I’ve ciphered dreaming’s field.
That forest of symbols yields no grain or grail.

    Ophelia, Ariadne, Cundry, sisters,
Are you so sanguinary, so fond of veils,
    You’d let a brother drown?

    Theseus is Bottom, Demetrios.
    Helena tats in Carcassone.
    The minotaur’s up. Icarus down.

I’ll watch the eensy weensy spinner spin.

    Down comes the rain, Puck.
    Down comes the rain.

    I HURRY TO MY DESTINATION
    WITH A GRID FROM A TO Z
MY BOOK TALKS ABOUT WORKING TOGETHER
AND WHAT BEAUTY THAT WOULD BE

THE CALLING OF TOKENS IN KNOTHOLES
    CAN END SOME FRIENDSHIPS QUICK
    JUST LIKE OUR FOREST FRIENDS
    THE CLOCK BEGAN TO TICK

THE JOY IN BEING ABLE TO GO
    HUNTING FOR MY PRIZE
    TEARING BRANCHES DIGGING HOLES
    RIGHT BEFORE MY EYES

I HAVE THE TOKEN FROM ITS HIDING PLACE
BUT I'M REMINDED OF ONE THING
A HUMAN OR A FOREST FRIEND
IS WHAT REALLY MAKES ME SING

I THINK ABOUT THE CHOICES I MADE
AS FOREST AND FRIENDS GROW DIM
WAS THIS WORTH THE TROUBLE TO ME
    MY TOKEN PLACED BACK IN

SO WHEN YOU WALK UPON THE GROUND
    SEARCHING FOR YOUR TREE
    RESPECT LIFE EVERYWHERE
    OR NOTHING THERE WILL BE!

    Trying to decipher codes
    Crying in the dark

Default A Web Remains A Testament of Eight

    a web remains a testament
to the rain, cleansing rubies and black enamel
leading again, i miss your "z".

the lorax has secured the caterpillar, dr. seuss quite safe
green eggs are moonlike, fish a cause, the cool cat in the knothole borrowed the cheshire cat's hat. intuition given in a smokey haze...a sweet symphony on a mushroom, smoke like gossamer. alice and ana.

grasshopper! grasshopper! my faith, my winding page of poetic pomegranates floating like stanzas in a bed of text
i smile, a crescent, knowing my friend is secured around the neck of the 'cat in the hat'. a"pack" of wolves became a hug of sticky honey. i love you.

firefly, for you I cried, my greed hangs like dirty laundry on a wire
i cried, again, the rain and the
great forest took me to oklahoma where i dug my toes in the warm dirt and laughed...i laughed for twenty minutes and will watch you become mayor and save indians..i laughed along with you.

bee, so be it, so glad you're back, zac has missed your pollen peace. not my bee, not anyone's , still, just chillin,
    temporary separation; honour, not measured...given.
akin to a single cup of espresso in a small outdoor cafe, alone in the rain. bitter. a sugar-free light. a desperate wind. listen. smell. hear. my copy is getting wet.

the butterfly, how enigmatic, beating blue sapphires, peeking from pear-shaped head
you continue to allude, a dainty pink panther, we await the beating of your wings. art lingers lightly.

Our sweet charlotte still evasive and sticky in white - i consult cosmeticians and cryptographers, children aware. Her web waits.

While who-who-ing in the whatted forest of eyeless selves,

Hacking past nettlesword, jewelweed, tongued jacks,

Tendrils of toadspeech, moonheels, fernspar, larkhunch,

    Cobsbobs and shuttlefern,

It comes to our hero oh-so-augenblick:

“I was this way once before, years from now,

Blazing trees to make an ogham.”

A carpenter once, his father taught him

The magic of planes, how a door can be latched on either side,

How a secretive gouge slides, presses its kiss

To carve a single-minded moss rose,

    To behold: a gem.

All this returns, but still. He’s lost.

Addled with a blight he never saw coming.

He’d live now for the sake

Of a single dragonfly’s blue brave.

    He’d live in yurts, or

A bothy on moors, hammocks slung from

    A green giant’s knee,

    Baba Yaga’s half hut, chickenlegged,

    A fey arbor.

    He’d build a chapel anywhere

    On the meridian of memory.

    Wait there spiderlike for himself--

Transformed to some green, and juicy

    Half unholy visitation--

To get stuck at the threshold.
