Default How a Geek tries to impress a girl

    Hey all,

Here's a silly little something I did in a feeble (but hopefully successful) attempt to impress a girl, or at least make her laugh.

And before you see it, yes the execution of everything (text, images, layout) is weak, but I didn't want to put much work into it. This way, if she doesn't like it, then it's because I didn't try very hard. If I put a lot of work into it and she doesn't like it, then that could have a detrimental effect on my ego.

Anyways, I think it's funny, and worth sharing, regardless of the outcome.

    Lemme know what you think,

well it all seems cool to me up until the holding of the "youknowwut" if ya changed that a bit to hold something else...like a rare rose or something to do with "love" that would inspire her to at least read the rest of it, eh?

not judgin you buddy..if i were single..booya! LOL shes beautiful as are u..

like the music and the pics, very cool...but being a "geek" as you put it maybe you arent sensing the "whole" woman's point of view..

check into somethin that represents love babe..then you may just have what you are seeking

and if ya want any more womanly insight..let me know...hehhe

    good luck!

Everybody here knows I won't lie when asked my opinion. Here goes -

You lost me at the word, "Aliens." Nonetheless, it took some effort, and I'd appreciate that, even if it was a bit crude for my tastes. (I don't know a single girl who would respond to the language you used.)

All that said, what I want to tell you is that if you really and truly want to give a gift to a girl, you've got to risk your ego. The thing that would impress her most is if you really did put yourself out there. We don't want perfection, see? Just effort.

Yeah, give me a guy who admits he isn't perfect but gives me all he's got, and I'll respond, all right. I don't have to have jewels or degrees or fancy clothes or food-I-can't-pronounce, Nio. We're really not mysterious at all! I'll go out on a limb and say that all women want to be feel that they are worth some effort. That's our big secret. We can smell a half-a** heart a mile away.

The thing is, I'd venture to guess that this girl, while beautiful, really wasn't the one for you. When it's right, you'll go all out and do seemingly stupid things for her. You'll want to be with her day and night because you love the feeling you get when she is near. When you hit the right girl, you'll approach your gifts from a new perspective, considering how things make her feel instead of the pleasure you get. You're on the right track by being so creative. Just change your mindset a bit and the next one will respond, I guarantee it.

OK! Here is my ten cents! (inflation)

What if the girl only uses a computer at work to point and click. Has never played a pc or platform game before. Or does not like profane language. Hopefully you know all that before letting her see your creation. Then again she might just laugh her arse off at it.

Do you watch reality TV. Have you seen Beauty and the Geek. Great to watch how polar opposites can eventually like each other once they open their minds and find out not everyone is just like them.

If you want to get out there to know how to impress anyone - first you have to get out there. If you are truly a geek then you spend a monster amount of time in front of a puter.

Not an expert here - nor am I that knowledgeable. But I have been around for a few years. Have done things like hitchhike to Woodstock in '69. Was a time when you were safe hitchhiking. Got there and what a dirty, muddy insane scene. It really looked like a bad camping trip going on it's own trip. But what a place to people watch. You see in my opinion when you people watch in different situations you really see the human nature. Was part of a photography team that did press photos of the White House staff. Part of my life was spent playing competition tennis. Part of my life was devoted to fix what I was pissed about within the PTO of my kid's school. Many different things - meeting a cross section of people.

Get out - away from that screen and at least twice a week or more sit somewhere and people watch. Especially the type of peeps you want to impress. Go to a local coffee shop with out the puter. Take an hour to drink one cup of coffee. Watch and listen. You find out that possibly people do not behave in a way you expect.

I cannot sit in the house every day. I get on the internet for some time. Get off and go out. Eat out for lunch or dinner at least three times a week. It may be cheap at Taco Bell - sit there and watch and listen. It may be expensive at Panera Bread - sit and watch and listen. The types of places where you live and learn.

Throughout my life I have been exposed to many different types. Politicians, musicians, actors, corporate types, soccer moms, PTA groupies, educators, administrators. I suck in every moment to get to know the different types of people and their behavior. Once you learn that most people do not behave the same as you or your family - then you mind opens up.

No not everyone goes to church. No not everyone believes in God. No not everyone owns a computer. No not everyone owns a cell phone. No not everyone has a family. No not everyone is a happy camper. But all the above can be an acquaintance and an enjoyable contact in your life.

So if you want to impress anyone - get out there - sip some soup - take an hour to drink an ice tea. Just get out there - you can do it cheaply - financially and not too time consuming to take you away from all those important things that you must get done.

Like the saying goes "get up get out and blow the stink off of ya"!

    MOST IMPORTANT OF ALL:
Do not change who you are. Do not try to change who someone else is. Just learn how to live with others. Share yourself. Be in tune as to what little things will make someone else smile and share what makes you smile. Be able to agree to disagree and have good debates. Never walk away angry.

Agree or disagree with what I said. Hopefully it will at least make you think!

    I think it's cool too.

If it's who you are, then you'll succeed!

And if it's who you are, and you don't succeed, then you'll still succeed!

    Theahr! The crevasse!

    Cheers.
