    Default Yorah meanings...

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    I found this and thought someone might find it interesting.

    "...baby names
    does anyone know anything about the name yoreh/yorah?

    I love the way it looks, sounds, and i have read that in addition to being related to the words for teaching and shooting, it means the first rain
    is it male? female? ...

    ...means "[he] will advice an opinion", so you can see the relation there. It also means "is shooting"...

    ...It's not a proper noun, except in the first "rain context". ...

    ...According to The Complete Book of Hebrew Baby Names by Smadar Shir Sidi... it means the following:

    Yoreh: (éåøä) In Hebrew, the name of the first rain, the name of the season of the first rain, or in Hebrew, "shooter," or "he will teach."

    It also gives it two stars, which is the book's code for a "common name." Although I've never heard it before either. It doesn't list Yorah under the girls' names section, though. ..."

    "YOREH is from the Hebrew, meaning TO TEACH, TO INSTRUCT or TO FIRE, TO SHOOT.
    YOREH is also the name of the first rain or the name of the season of the first rain.
    Variant spellings - YORAH - YORE - YORA - YOREH

    Biblical name - YOREH was one of those who returned from the Babylonian exile (Ezra 2:1....&qu ot;

    I took the name "Yorah" to be an anagram of the word "hoary," which means grizzled and wise -- which Yorah certainly is! I got this idea from the anagram of "Rusful" = "sulfur."

    Default Yorah meanings

    Has anyone noticed that if you spell Yorah backwards it becomes Haroy. This is owner of many hotels and campground listings. Google it and see. The buildings inside the tree look like red-roofed inns.
