    Hmmmm...

Well, he's kind of cute, in a drawing kind of way.

    But NOT AVAILABLE, gals...

He never opens his eyes in the book, so we can't see what color they are (I'm guessing *blue*, whaddaya think??).

    He's a woodworker.

    *thinking...*

OK, I'll bite... Are his eyes closed because he's *trying* to telepathically get or receive a message to or from Ana? :P

    (or give one to us?)

    Default Eyes

I don't have the book yet
(Feel like my eyes are closed ha ha )

But maybe his eyes are closed such as an adults eyes are "closed" to believe in dreams, fantasy, etc. A child's eyes are more open to the unknown and unseen.

    I hope that makes sense.

You're right, jmurph731... "Zachariah" is only used at the very beginning (Chapter 1) and at the end (Epilogue).

debz... *OR* Mr. Stadther has trouble drawing eyes!!!

I would've agreed with you completely about the symbolism, except at the end, with Pook (AFTER he's seen the fairies), he's STILL closing his eyes!

OK, OK... maybe they're just "downcast".
