Default I think the rusful token has nothing to do with the book

Just think, the author had to add to the rules of the book and there is a seperate clue or 2 to get rusful from. the author did not think the book would be solved so fast so he added a token, this was not planned, if anything he made the flower clue off of the book, but I dont think that when he made the book he put a rusful clue in there.

I agree 100%. This is all new. But, don't forget that he can consider using a 5x5 ... as requiring the book.

He might also use the book as some sort of source material... like a puzzle could be:

1-10 4-34 25-9 .... where you take the 10th letter on page 1, the 34th letter on page 4, the 9th letter on page 25.... etc...

So, I say there is no INFORMATION in the book, but the book might be used.

Does anyone think that Clue #3 has >>>anything<<< to do with the Rustful Token or do you think that MS is going to have a Clue #5 for this token???? The way the "clue" hints are worded regarding the Rustful Token, I am not sure. Logic says that Clue #3 is related to the other solved tokens and not this one, but...........comments............

Goldsearcher - I should have attached a smilie face to that previous comment. I meant no insult. I actually wish that I could say I wasn't a good typist, because it would mean that I do something more important with my workday than sit at this dang computer killing time!

I personally don't think that Clue three will help solve the Rusful puzzle, although I do think that it might tell us that there is a Rusful, Zac, Ana, etc... token out there to find. Just my $.02 of speculation.

Not a problem Melslp79, and I am the first to admit I can't type, let alone spell . Anyway, I really appreciate your comments about possible other tokens [Ana, etc.] as our adult daughter and I have felt that way all along. I had to re-register as I lost my page with the password and it was easier to re-up, but have been on Tweleve for months and have so enjoyed the hunt. Thank you for your comments regarding clue #3. I have a possible solve into ATT [which I doubt is it] but have not heard back from them either way. Thank you again and your cat's eyes are beautiful.

.....yes, logic does point to this.....BUT.....here is my dilema:

If Clue 3 has nothing to do with Rusful.....and.....since the hunt (original 13 tokens from book) is technically over....WHY did MS not give out the solution for Clue 3? I am still leaning towards it being somehow tied in. My thoughts are that since it has yet to be solved, MS created Clue 4 which somehow ties into 3. Could be wrong tho...wouldnt be the first time...

Who says that the hunt is "technically" over? I know that a lot of people are speculating about the the Rusful token, and the consensus seems to be that MS just added this one at the end to "make up" for things he may or may not have done wrong. However, I believe that he has had this (Pook + Rusful + whatever other tokens may be out there) planned the whole time. You can't tell me that a computer guy didn't think about the fact that people would get together via internet to solve his puzzles. I think this is all part of his original plan. I, for one, am not quite brilliant enough to understand the whole grand design. However, I think he'll unveil the greater plans in due time.

I definitely agree Melsp79-- he has this planned down to the minute. He has built in as many extensions as he needs to keep the hunt alive for as long as he deems necessary. At a minimum, he had to have a backup plan in case the puzzles were all solved more quickly than he expected-- and who know what he expected! So the existence of additional tokens is perfectly welcome news to me-- waiting a full year for TSOAD would be far too painful!
