Default another 'Rusful is found' claim on ATT

Someone else is claiming they have found Rusful on ATT..

    from amy94588..

Just to let you know not to go out and buy airline tickets or to drive long distances to try to find the Rusful token. We found it on Saturday. We would have posted sooner but we didn't get the official approval to say anything to anybody until today. In fact, we still don't want to say too much but look to see it posted as missing real soon.
    Is it real this time??

    Only time will tell...

It would make it easier to believe if they would post at least a brief solve of the clues...

Well, there isn't enough information to specifically say I think this is a hoax (and honestly, I sure hope it's not!). I'd like to ask the token finders if the part about "we found it on Saturday, but didn't get the official OK to tell anyone until today" bit sounds reasonable. In the past, I seem to remember that NOTHING ever happens on the weekends (i.e. the lawyers just aren't there), and the law firm probably didn't even call them back until Monday (today). It seems then like there probably wasn't enough time to even verify that the token was missing, nonetheless give he/she/them an official OK to tell us that it's missing.

But having not found a token, I'm just going on common sense (which I have little of), and my poor memory of previous posts of the last 6 months.

Can anyone who is in the know agree, disagree, or actively shrug in honest cluelessness?

I should clarify my last post, in case it was confusing - I mean, I'd like the *already-verified* token finders to chime in!

I would actually say it's too soon for a vetted response, which is usually when they go "Missing". You had to send in photocopies of the token and return media release forms, and all that sort of thing. But your comment on no lawyer response on a weekend is certainly accurate!

I can't comment on the "we just got permission to tell" piece, as I was never given or denied permission to do so-- maybe one of the later finders can comment?

But you would think if you had permission to say you found it, then you would also have permission to post a pic of him, or say "the puzzle is solved by doing thus-and-so", thereby letting anyone else independently confirm the solution.

Default Some thoughts on possible solve-- post find???

    Hey all,
Since it is likely found, but they haven't revealed how they solved it...
I wanted to share my thoughts on the clue. I didn't see it mentioned but likely it was picked up on a long time ago. Just a little feedback is all I want.

I noticed sometime in December a clear pattern of 5 in the crosses, but, much like the other solutions in the book, I could not get it to translate. The pattern is:

The arrangement of the tan boxes in the crosses! Ta'da (I hope I'm not being redundant!!)
Leaving aside the 1st cross (which has the tan in the center-- which I believe is a message much like the red in the spider on 20/21 to look to the tan boxes)
Leaving aside the second cross(going across the top) which has no tan boxes, the pattern of tan is distinct. But what is 1 - 5 ??

    crosses w/ 1 tan box
crosses w/ 2 tan boxes (on opposite poles)
xrosses w/ 2 tan boxes (connected diagonal)
    crosses w/ 3 tan boxes
    xrosses w/ 4 tan boxes

Since there are 24 crosses, take away the aforementioned 2, that'll give you 22 and a phrase value of 11 letters (using 2 coordinates for each letter)
Using different combos I've come up with near misses, but lose patience quickly---concerned I'm on the totally wrong track

Anyway... am I being redundant? Some feedback either way would be cool! good luck if this helps anyone!

My first time to post.....I would think that "amy...." would give some clue to the code on how the token was found even if she feels legally that she can't give the whole format she used. Which I find it hard to believe .....I remember that the person who found the Ant token explained the code before the token was considered missing on ATT website! But I have to say congrats if it is really true.

kingwilson, thats a good idea, but it could be this person that claims to have found rusful is just trying to see what everyone's ideas were. I'd wait to post your ideas if you're having any luck with them til after att says rusful is missing.

maybe i'm just hoping it's not really found

Does her sign on suggest that the token was found in Pleasanton, CA (zip 9458? There are a lot of city parks there??
