    Default nice....

Nice idea seekeroflost! my friend and i had tried and tried to find out what "copy" meant. though we did come up with a great idea in which we anagrammed for the words "Duplicate copy", meaning two copies of the clue. So we tried a bunch of variations where we printed 2 copies and cut the centers out of one and laid it over the other, and used directional coordinates to move the top page over certain letters. No luck with it but it did sound good at the time. anywho, nice job! Bravo!

    Default a neat find!

hey, when speaking of the idea my friend and i tried, i got my copy with the holes in it and laid it over pg 66, and lined it up perfectly to where the bottom is on the black border and the left side is lined up with the word "in" down in the text below. When doin this, the lowest left hand cross's center lines up perfectly with that arrow shaped shard of glass in the middle. Could just be a coincidence though....

    Seeker,

You made me go purchase a protractor in 30 degree weather here in Louisiana!

    Heh.

I might have been a bit off. Can anyone check behind this as well?

It might be more important than first thought.

    Thanks.

    Doc

    Default seems off

well, its hard to measure on a computer screen, but offhand, it looks closer to 40 degrees with the protractor. but i dont know, someone with a printed page needs to measure.

    Default CORRECTION!!!

I remeasured with a smaller protractor and it does come darn close to 66. I got 67 off the screen! But someone does need to measure on a real page, just to be sure. But, it looks good so far! Keep it up!

I knew the background was important for something! I just couldn't figure it out. Good solve.

Another hint in the background pointing to p.66 would be the little circles/dots/degree symbols themselves...p.66 is full of them. I guess is if I had gone through the pages of the book looking for the dot shapes that resembled dotsin the background of the Starz clue, p.66 might have caught my eye. I had thought the dots were just map symbols. Would you believe it never occured to me til last week they could be degree symbols!

The snail's shell is a circle, and its bandanna (on other pages) also has dots on it.

am I the only person who finds it funny that 3 people have bought protractors and none of them has the paper to print the image to confirm? I see it as being correct, although it is less than a degree difference in my eyes... oh well...
