Default Faeries Five Finger Fun Factory

WITH NAME IN HAND THE FAERIES KNOW

In the spirit of lyricalash, I am not going to give specific solutions of what I have found. Dont worry my motives are not quite the same as my decoded message looks mostly like doth poop right now and would only discourage you from giving me your hall of fame vote. I really dont want to spoil the mix by introducing a bad interpretation at this point. And well, honestly, I dont like what I have figured out and think it in itself is wrong. Lets just say my contribution is not half, but not whole. When and if I can untwist my code to make more sense before one of you brilliant twelevers, I will post it here (shameless compliment, again, looking for votes here).

Notice how the fairies are pointing, pulling each others hair, climbing over borders, holding open books, etc... Thumb through the book. Look at what I am talking about.

MS Personal Puzzle Writing Goal #1: Dont be too obvious, but when a person is told the answer, watch them slap their head in a I could've had a V-8 fashion.

A pointing fairy may only be there to show you their finger. That may be all they are doing. Its not what they are pointing at, but what they are pointing with.

Dislodge your brain (I sound like a pusher, go-ahead kid, try it) from what you have read elsewhere on this site for a moment. Start looking for hidden or missing fingers in new ways. The more you look at them, the more you realise that they are hidden by leaves or tucked under a border, or a hand is presented in such a contorted in a way that it does not look natural. MS goes to extra effort to only show you one finger here, three there, four on one hand, four on another. I am convinced that I found a faerie with 6 fingers on one hand (No joke).

A great place to start is on a page that in my mind has yet to really be decoded. Look at page 36. Dont try to spell anything by the fairy game of twister going on. Dont try to interpret good fairy wings from those that have been caught in a blender. Look at those hands. You get to see some fingers and not others. This is not an accident even if it is not a direct solution. This is a presentation.

Stop. Take a deep breath. Stop building your 5x5 spreadsheets for a moment and read these excerpts again.

WITH NAME IN HAND THE FAERIES KNOW
A CODE OF NUMBERS FIVE TO A SIDE
REVEALS THE NAME WHERE THE TREASURES ABIDE

You know what I am going to say here right? (Do I really have to type this out cthree?) I hope it is obvious enough to get your juices flowing again and you just stop reading here and get to work. Name in hand the faeries know? Fingers are in hand right? In fact little else in the book is in a faeries hand. A code of numbers five to a side? Lets see here, typical left hand, 5 fingers, typical right hand, 5 fingers, hmmm. Reveals the name where the treasures abide? Name again? You just told me the faeries know the name didn't you? Oh yea, it still works doesnt it? In fact it works so well, I should be in detention.

Wow! Spinner! Great post. I love it when someone can get me looking a things differently. I will look a the book tonight in a new way.

I have definitely felt that the fingers were "telling" me something. They are just so odd and apparent.

Could this be why some treasure hunters say that the faeries are using sign language--- but haven't given us a message yet. These positions would look familiar to all of us but not so familiar that we would notice them immediately...

    Good call!

Great post! Way to "think outside the box".

Awesome ideas... definitely would be one of those V-8 moments, if true. Thanks for sharing. (I also thought 5-to-a-side was referring to hands, but I wasn't sure.)

Spinner I have been working on the hands being 5 to a side for some time now. I have been trying, without success so far, to decode the faries. We are on the same page and I truly believe that this is the 5 to a side clue. Now if I can just figure out what they are trying to say....back to the book!

Five to a side does not refer to the faeries fongers. It means a code of numbers, five to a side. That is a base 5 numbering system with two digits.

    That is,

    11,12,13,14,15
    21,22,23,24,25
    31,32,33,34,35
    41,42,43,44,45
    51,52,53,54,55

A code consisting of these numbers is readily obtained. Decoding it is the problem.

    I've said more than enough.

    Good Luck!

"A code of numbers five to a side."

Keeping with spinner's idea: Another word for numbers is digits. Another word for digits is fingers.

    Good thinking and great post!

Pws111 thank you for your line of thought, but there are other ways of looking at things. To tell somebody in such a strident manner as your e-mail suggests, discounts what other people think and have to say.

I do not post a lot of my thoughts on this forum just for that reason.

    Thanks for sharing your thought.

    pws,

do you have a token yet? I was just wondering because you seem so sure about your line of thought. I mean, are you positive you are right or are you just on this line of thinking?

or are you trying to throw others off?

When one is this insistent about their "solution" it means one of three things:

    1. you know more than us and are on your way to pick up a token

    2. you just think you have a solution and just have a strong way of presenting it

    3. you have no clue, but want people to believe you so they will go on a wild goose chase to figure out where you got what you have

Those that are helpful will just offer a suggestion and leave it at that.

Anyway, I was just wondering where you fall?

p.s. This was not meant to be aggressive in any way.
