    Default Where's Ana's Father

If i uderstand corrrecty, her elf mother passed away. I don't remember reading anything about her human father.

If we knew something about her father maybe that would tell us more about Ana. Like what courses she took in college and her hobbies and interests.

Maybe This is one of those "Luke, I'm your father" twists.

    OMG!!!

    Of Course!!!!

And that's why Ana can read his mind, because she still loves her Daddy but probably doesn't recognize him. And that is why Rusful doesn't touch her with his poisioned hands, only points a finger at her. Obviously, there is still enough fatherly Love left inside his twisted mind that he doesn't want to hurt his daughter. Then he has the darklings gently place her inside a willow tree, which, according to the picture on page 83, even my grandmother, who is no Houdini, could get out of in like three seconds!

Obviously, this book is going to be made into a movie and Anthony Hopkins will be the Villian. But in the movie his face is so disfigured that he has to wear a mask. A Darth Vader mask would probably be Too obvious.

Obviously, Somebody thinks making a movie is a good idea:

As posted on the Yahoo site: http://comingsoon.net/news/topnews.php?id=8286

You have to admit the honeybee's idea of Rusful being Ana's father is the Perfect climax to the movie.

    Default Ana's Dad

Yeah, I thought of Rusful being Ana's Dad, too. Look at everything that points to it.

    1. He remembered reading somewhere that certain fairies like to play with such things as socks. Ana got the book from her mother and that's why Rusful had read it, because Ana's mother used to have it.

    2. He knew immediately about the halfling and her human husband and where they lived.

    3. Ana knew something about Rusful in the cave.

    4. He refused to touch her and harm her.

    5. Ana was familiar with the human girls from the village that Zac could have married, so she must have been to the village to see her Dad when she was younger.

    6. Ana's Mom dies and Rusful has an accident that forces him to retreat to the safety of the grotto and the forest. (her death possibly caused by the same accident)

    7. And what's the deal with pointing out that Rusful used to select material for his shirts in the village?

The question is, why is it important that we know that Rusful is Ana's Dad?

The only problem with this theory is that Rusful wasn't well liked before he had the "accident".. "useful but not liked, gray, taciturn and grasping" (grasping at what...this is a strange word here).

But he could have become like this after Ana's mother left him.

Gosh, it's almost as good as Passions!!!!

I like #1 and I think it would fit well...2 and 3 are nothing special since both had been in the forest for so long that they would probably know of each other's existance (no one else seemed to live there)...I really like #4...I think #5 and #6 are coincidences that could mean the two just might have known of each other's existence, although the theory of #6 is interesting...and good question for #7.

Overall, I like this line of thought, and I'll give your final question some thought tonight. Good thinking!

If you want a really dysfunctional family, how about Zac being her father
