    Default Darklings spell out SOMETHING!

I know this isn't the first time this has come up...I think Rusty posted it a while back. But after weeks of trying to crack the dandelion seeds and coming up short, I'm running out of ideas.

So the other night I focused on the only other thing that stands out in the picture: the darklings. They are definitely forming letters.

I traced the letters on tracing paper and they look dead on, but I need everybody's help.

Beginning from the darkling on the left of the dragon head and going clockwise:

Darkling 1 -- Looking at the body and arms, either an M or E.

    Dragon Head --a possible I.

Darkling 2 -- a bit tricky, originally thought it was a V but if you follow the black wing on the darkling clockwise next to him back towards Darkling 2, down what would be HIS left arm and then back up his right arm, you have what I've traced as a nice S

Darkling 3 -- His body, the underside of his wing and the dragon's arm (which seems out of place in the picture) make a P

Darkling 4 -- A very tough call but I'm calling it for now an F. Need everybody's interpretation on this. (his left leg bent makes it the F)

    Darkling 5 -- Looks like an R

    Darkling 6 -- Looks like a K

    Darkling 7 -- Unknown

    Darkling 8 -- either a Y or a V

I know this would take us away from the 5X5 and that's why I'm skeptical about it. But this is all I've got left on the Ant, and the darklings are clearly spelling something.

    Hope it helps,

This page always popped out as "Hoover" to me. I don't remember what I was looking at, but there was also something there about helecopter, heleport - something like that. I googled this information and there is a place right by the Hoover dam that gives people helecopter rides over the Hoover Dam. It is wooded, and if memory serves me right, there is a park. I don't know, may be worth looking further into and checking out.
The things that come to those that wait may be the things left by those who got there first.

Yeah, I posted a "HOOVER" overlay back in March:

    Think it means something?

    It's not a place, it's a yearning. It's not a race, it's a journey.

I was also looking at the darklings, but in a different way. I was trying to find use them in the 5x5 grid. If you can add to this idea, it would be great - but I wasn't too successful at it. Like the acorn solution, I was looking for differences between them. My problem was that I couldn't come up with 5, but that doesn't mean other people can't. Some of the darklings have hair, others are bald, some wear hats. That could be one axis, then another could be their clothing. Some are wearing long-sleeved shirts, others have short-sleeved or have no shirt at all.

anyone want to see if they can get anything from that?

I was trying that method myself. I had it dealing with directions they were pointing and what they were grabbing. Came up with nothing. But it was the only thing I could think of that made sense.

The ant puzzle is turning out to be one of the hardest puzzles even though it is one of the least expensive bugs. Hmmm maybe we are all thinking about this one too much. Or maybe we are making it harder than it has to be because we have not found the right mate to the ant. I don't know. I am baffled by it myself. Besides working on the dandelion seeds on page 77 and throughout the book, I also tried a similar method to the grasshopper find by blocking out certain letters in the grid like based on whether or not the dragon is in that block and I got nothing. Maybe we need to be concentrationg on the dragon grid more. Sheesh!

You mean the green part with the white doodles, where the ant scribble is? Stadther's signature is there, I don't see much else.
