Good luck! I've been working on the Ant for quite a while and the little bugger has alluded me. I hope you come back with a great story and an even better solution!

And no negativity is needed on these boards... some things are better left unsaid. We're all out to have fun and solve these puzzles, so let's keep it light and fun.

Just an innocent $0.02 from a lurker (and proud newbie to posting!).

can someone explain how the map and text clues work? I mean relative to how the others have been found. Just kinda new at this and wondering.

Like for example, do pictures of the hidden ants provide the clues as to where the tokens are (meaning on that page where it is found)? and do the fairies point on the map where it is or something?

I noticed that similarity, too, but didn't want to make the drive to Red Rock until I licked my wounds from Lost Dutchman. I hope she has fun looking, and that she comes back with a token.

Wow! Good catch. That is a close resemblance, but it looks a little backward or something to me. Does anyone think that a drop cap map could be shown backwards or upsidedown to throw us off, maybe? Anyway, thanks for sharing your story and actually getting out there and doing "the hunt" - I hope you keep hunting and find one. And I do hope one will be found closer to us here in Cali so that at least we can take the kids on a follow-up treasure hunt of our own.

One of them already was upside-down or at least a 90-degree rotation from the map you could download from the website... (Dragonfly maybe? I forget which one). I wasn't trying to rotate drop-caps until I saw this, so I guess anything is fair play...

Lake Dardanelle required a 90 degree turn. They all require skewing or distorting to make them fit.

If I were to say that I was about to head out to look for the ant, would the initials DCP mean anything to anyone?

I didn't think Lake Dardanelle required a 90 degree turn? I thought the park map on the web that everyone was looking at was 90 off, so if you turned it to face north, it lined up with the map. The snail map and Dragonfly maps lined up without rotating, I think.
