Given the placement of all the confirmed finds, it seems that the West Coast tokens must be in Northern Cali or Oregon. If there really is one in Wyoming and/or Colorado, then AZ is almost definitely out. It really depends on if a "day's drive" is 12 hours or 24 hours. (one way or round trip) If it is anything up to a 24 hour day, then TX and FL are probably out, and Northern CA could be in.

Anyhow, I'm not giving up till the bitter end. This is exciting, and I got into this in January knowing I would probably end up empty-handed. I just wanted to try my brian at some serious puzzles. I haven't been disappointed with that part yet.

My kids all want the spider or Pook. Go figure!

If he went to the same place Steve's wife went to, then he's probably otherworldly by now. We could start a new contest, "Ye who finds the token and gets out of the park alive, Wins!" I called Steve to give him a hard time about letting his wife come back so soon, and that's when I found out that it was a probably a good idea that she didn't stay long. Yikes!

    cegodsey,

We searched the same park. What was wrong with it?

Seemed like a nice little park.
ok.. I can see I won't get anything done until 2007!

    When were you there?

My understanding was that it had a lot of homeless people, all staring at his wife (but I can understand why, I'd stare too - see? I'm staring right now!), and she thought she saw a drug deal go down. Of course, this is a Sunday, and that's probably the only people that are there on the weekend.

    Default drop cap map

To answer the question, yes you have to move the map to the right place. I find tracing paper works best, trace just the part that applies then overlay it to a trail map. This can also be tricky as the trail map/park map may be of a different scale. This is what threw me off at James Baird State Park. Just turn the drop cap map on the tracing paper any which way you have to, to get the match. The key is that the drop cap map is an identical match to the real place map.
Good luck to all the treasure hunters.
