I don't know anything about red rock state park - i haven't been able to figure out the dandelions but if that's what people are getting, and seems that a lot of people are, then got for it.

Deboriole - I used to live in Wisconsin. It's not in Wisconsin. Just watchin' the focus shift with every word. It's in Downtown Seattle.

Last night, while trying to solve the ant, I got Armour Sedona and some junk. I ran the junk through wordsmith, and got Sedona Arrow Drum S (there is a letter missing, should be 17 letters). I figured the missing letter was probably P. I googled the three words and found out the Slide Rock was the location for a few movies, two being Broken Arrow (James Stewart) and Drum Beat (Charles Bronson). That led me to look at Slide Rock, and the map kind of fits there as well. Unfortunately, I was using Jim's PolySolver to figure this out, and after getting nowhere, I tried with a Caesar shift of 17 (the letter Q), making the grid start with R. Well, I failed to notice the letter Q in my result. Which means that the caesar shift part of the program is bugged - it is going on a full alphabet with a Q. So I got the new version that allows the user to input the 5x5 grid, and tada! No Sedona in the output. Talk about a weird fluke! Just figures. I haven't gotten a solution to the dandelions, although Bass021 has. It required a little fudging on the coordinate pairs to get his answer. I don't think it's right, or at least not right with his manipulation of the pairs. I mean, it could be the right location, but not with the way he obtained it. Come on Steve, spank, spank, spank, no cheating on the puzzles!

I found Red Rock Spaz by deduction, one of the ways that I totally disagree with. But it sure looks like the right place, doesn't it?

    Spinner,
your avatar made me laugh so loudly just now that my kids came running to the monitor... when they saw it they asked why someone would want to rob a kitten. Hahaha.
By the way, I could not get the same Devil's Lake location either. Can anyone post a solution as to how this "parfrey" location was arrived at? There is also a Devil's Lake in North Dakota but I think the residents of that state are not eligible. Does that discount it as a possible location? You know, perhaps they are inelligible because they are all in on the secret of where it's hidden.

Paranoia is right, and I didn't have a chainsaw...maybe it's my prosthetic third arm? I stayed mostly on the trails because they areas were clearly and redundantly marked not to leave the trail or you would endanger anumal habitats. Near as I could tell, th eonly habitats were harvester ant mounds, but I am at heart, a rule-abiding person. Plus, i just didn't see any tree compelling enough to make me desparate to search it. Most that I could get near to did not have knotholes.

You know, the more I see people attacking the map drop cap, the more I laugh. I stumbled on it by looking at the Lost Dutchman SP map just to see if I was living next to a potential site. After days and days of acorns and dandelions and NO solution, I needed a ray of hope. And then I saw that perfect "S". Unfortunately, there was another near match at Red Rock, but that was 2 hours away...LDSP was next door! I decided to try Red Rock after a couple days because I would've felt stupid had I not.

If I had found the token at EITHER place, I would simply tell the redemption center that I found it by the drop cap map. There is nothing unfair about uncovering a portion of the clue, and then taking a flyer on faith. You still had to solve part of the clue provided, and you especialy had to invest time (and money in gas, if nothing else) to bear out your theorum. Just because you don't have 100% of the answer doesn't mean you should lose.

I mean, we are all ASSUMING that we have 100% of the answers for the existing 'solved' puzzles, yet there may yet be other clues that would have helped that are as yet undiscovered. But tokens were found and redeemed, and I say 'great". Except...could one please be found by me!

Anyhow, I wil continue to follow any "hot" lead I generate, regardless of whether or not I decipher GPS coordinates by crosscutting my book and splicing every other column of alternating pages together. (it doesn't work, by the way) I'd like to get a full solution, but if it doesn't work out - oh well. (just so you know, I am not endlessly searching state park maps for matches. Red Rock and LDSP were vey close to me, and Red Rock generated lots of chatter after I posted that I went to LDSP)

And the folks at Red Rock SP before 9AM this morning from Nevada and California - who are you? Did you find anyhting?

cegodsey – do you mean the online 5x5 solver is buggy – or were you referring to some other program you have? I have been going nutty with the online one, would be good to know for sure.

I tried to fudge RED ROCK SP on the dandelions, myself, just to see if it was possible... didn't do too well there at all... but man, that map is close!
