Please forgive netsirk. Also, forgive me - I shouldn't have tried to mix my two passions of Harry Potter and A Treasures Trove.

By the way, some one told be about the death in Half Blood Prince and I still cried. Also, I think HBP is my favorite book ever, despite it being "ruined" for me.

Please forgive and we can all look for other distractions while we wait for ATT book 2 and HP book 7.

    Thank you,
    AnotherDoth

I just got a new license plate as a birthday present. It says "HORCRUX." (And I know at least some of you will understand that).

That's awesome! I have thoroughly enjoyed all the HP books, but Goblet of Fire was my favorite. It's not too much longer until the movie version comes out... well before the release date of Alchemist Dar. I like having things to look forward to.

Someone is actually reading Ayn Rand ????

    I am delighted.

And if you haven't read The Fountainhead,,,,,,,

    do,,,,

    then,,,,,

watch the movie !!!!! Some of the most marvelous characters ever to find their way to the silver screen. Patricia Neal,,,Gary Cooper,,,,Raymond Massey,,,,Gary Cooper IS Howard Roark. Wimpy Peter Keating, bottom feeder Ellsworth Toohey, Gail Waynand ,,,oh what portrayals! Did you guess it is - yes it is - my all time fav ! You'll end up wanting to go to see the Guggenheim Museum, and Falling Water, and Taliesin and anything designed and built by Frank Lloyd Wright...and you'll still love Howard Roark more.

Makes me want to dig in again !! Blessings, DannyBoy...

I finished Atlas Shrugged not too long ago but it took me months to read it all when I usually go through books in hours or a couple of days so I am taking a break before I try something else by Ayn Rand.
Is The Fountainhead similar to Atlas Shrugged?

The Fountainhead is my next Ayn Rand undertaking...but since I've started Atlas Shrugged I've had about 6 other books pile up, so it'll be a little while before I read it.

Looking forward to it, though....and glad to see there are others out there who are intrigued with this book as much as I am.

Even though I approve of Ayn Rand's anti-communism stance on things, I hate her writing! I had to read Anthem in ninth grade and I could not stand it! It also did not help that my English teacher did not know a lot of history and so she did not even try to explain the historical things behind it or even what communism was. I was not familiar with communism so the book just confused me and it was so long and boring!! I love to read tons of things but not her!
