and more than one person on this thread has stated that they have tried and been able to verify it.. so.. that seems like it has been verified..
    As I wrote before:

There has been no verifiable solution confirmed!

"Pattons Run" can easily be anagramed to "Ann Trout SP."

Just wait until someone finds the token!

haha.. yea I agree the only way to verify anything in this book is to find the token..

I guess I just don't see the point in naysaying just for the sake of it.. with no verifiable reason to naysay.. and the only reason I keep checking in here is because I'm waiting to see if someone finds it. I've already moved on to other puzzles.. it's just kind of exciting knowing that people are out looking for one right now.. that's not to say I am not keeping it in the back of my mind as I think there most definitely is more to this one. I just am not sure I have it all yet..

i mean people were naysaying the d-fly solution when it first came out..saying that some of the leaves had too many veins.. etc.

also weren't those other maps, maps of the actual park not just the area? I haven't seen a map of the park yet..

so just wondering would we consider it confirmed if a map of the park was found and the trail matched the trail in dropcap box? or we still need to see the token?

i'm just playing.. i don't want anyone getting all worked up about it..

I'm not naysaying it, I'm just saying there's no way to know for sure if the solution is correct until someone finds a token. Goodhunting is just playing too, I think.

I'm on to other puzzles too. There have to be some on MY side of the country!

I think it's fair to say that no token is "found" until there is reasonable proof (as in someone holding the token, etc), but if someone posts the solution *I* was planning to use, then there's certainly no point for me to spend that time/money/effort. After all, SOMEONE is going to check out that place before me! Of course, they may miss the token (as I did with the snail), but I'm simply not going to risk it. On to others!

    Default Gaps in the O

I don't get the same information. Here is the post from ATT...

    http://www.atreasurestrove.com/Publi...TOKEN=51229281

    mdh2os

    Thu May 26, 2005 - 09:13 (in reply to: alluriableue on Thu May 26, 2005 - 08:49)
I will tell why I asked if Patton made sense to anyone.

I used the 4 different shaped breaks in the outer box and labeled them 1-4, starting with the one in the north position as 1, then proceeding clockwise.

Then I mapped out a number sequence using the shapes on the inner box starting with the left hand side, just above the O. By the way, there is a shape that is used twice that doesn't correspond to any of the 4 shapes on the outer box, so I arbitrarily labeled that shape 5.

Once I got my string of 20 numbers, I tried using a 5*5 grid starting the traditional way, A at position 1. And this is the letter sequence I got:

    NPATTONSSU

I was having trouble with the shape of the 17th box--wasn't sure if it was a 3 or a 2, so if you use a 2, then the letter sequence is:

    NPATTONSRU

    Default Gaps in the O

I tried to replicate mdh2os method and I could not.

The gaps are as follows in terms of the "key" of North South East West and Zero for the not used on the outer edge:

starting on the west side going clockwise - W S
    (north side) N W N N W W
    (east side) W W Z S W
    (south side) S S W E(orS) E Z W.

If you start where mdh2os started you get
    WSNWNNWWWWZSWSSWEEZW.
    mdh2os used N=1, E=2, S=3, W=4, Z=5 on the standard 5 by 5 matrix.
    43-14-11-44-44-53-43-34-32-54
    and got
    N-P-A-T-T-O-N-S-(SorR)-U

    However, I get slightly different:
    columns then rows
    N-P-A-T-T-O-N-S-HorG-U

    or rows then columns
    S-D-A-T-T-X-S-N-L-Y.

Either way doesn't appear to give enough information to find a token.

    Thanks,
    AnotherDoth
