    Default Butterfly Solution

As much as it pains me to admit, someone has posted the solution to the butterfly over on ATT. I won't post it here, but wanted to at least give folks a fair chance now that's it's basically common knowledge. (And if you were planning a trip, you may want to consider this info.)

Although I'm heartened that I found the clue myself, I'm honestly quite devastated that the info is out there as I had just planned a trip to travel down tonight with my wife. It's as close a token as we're going to find, but there's no way I can beat the folks that live closer.

You may want to consider that the first two confirmed tokens (Dragonfly and Snail) both evaded detection for over 12 hours (from the time of first trove visitor) despite a number of people searching for them. You could be the one to find it if you left soon.

I also live in VA but I didn't decode it myself so won't attempt to get it.

Also, it seems that the thrill of the hunt is unforgettable, whether you come up with it or not, according to many reports.

Wow, I'm impressed. I feel this way too. Unfortunately, this hunt is turning into a *race* instead of a contest of skill. I'm not talking about snail or dragonfly, but it seems that people who live closest or get there fastest will find the tokens, because all the work has been done for them. Don't ruin this, guys!
I would never dream of taking a token I didn't decipher myself.

I agree it may take a little while to locate the token.. but I think the park at the location is fairly small.. who knows though..

Indeed. Lots of unexpected solution sharing going on.

It seems if someone is too far away to get to the token or makes a failed attempt to find it they feel free to post the solution. Then the advatage goes to the close rather than any others who had deciphered the clues.

I had decoded a couple of the solutions before they were found. I had no plans to go hunting, but I didn't post the solution. Even though the hunt for me was over, I felt that someone who had figured it out themselves deserved it, not just someone who saw the solution and drove an hour to pick it up. I wonder how MS feels about all this. It's turning sour fast.
Once again I'm not knocking the finders of the snail and dragonfly - I don't know enough about them.

weepixel, are you suggesting the token finders do NOT deserve to win the prizes?

    It's not a place, it's a yearning. It's not a race, it's a journey.

I'm not talking about the snail and dragonfly finders. I'm saying if you have someone who hadn't decoded anything themselves, but went on the internet, saw the solution some idiot posted, went to the location and found it because they lived closer... then YES I am suggesting that they do NOT deserve it as much as someone who spent many hours putting together the solution and came to it on their own.

Does that mean anything? NO. The fact is the WILL BE the finders, and how easy is it to explain the solution to MS? They just take it off the internet...
It can't be changed. They will still be the official "finders".

I'm just asking everyone to stop posting solutions because you selfishly feel the hunt is over for you so you scream it from the top of the mountain. There are still people here whose hunt is NOT over!
