Fairies + 5 x 5 = Success...
I think we may have been taking the cipher idea too far... I may have had a breakthrough here.

The fairies are pointing to a location inside a vertical rectangle in the chapter headers. Take, for example, the fairy on page 16... if the grid starts A,B,C,D,E across, she is likely pointing to L. The fairy on 20, 22, etc. are all pointing to locales on a grid. This constant pointing to a space has to be it. If you segment each box into 25 parts, im sure you can get the specific lcoations from the chapter headers.

Plus... the last lines of the poem read "With name in hand the fairies know"... comon... someone pick this up please...

And, if you didn't notice, the headers where the fairies are reaching INTO the grid (45, for example) have black outlines of the insect (ant).

i went through and did a quick estimate of what letters they would be pointing at, didn't really seem to add up to anything for me, but i would like to hear if you found anything different

Nevermind this post...I was quoting something already said

Great idea though! I'll pursue it farther :)

I did what I think is a good job at matching them up: using photoshop I overlayed the grid from the dream chapter over each fairy. The one problem was the Y Koopen on pg 60, which is not bounded, so I used the whole white area inside the blocks as the boundary.

Here are my co-ordinates-- the question is: what do you seed the 5x5 grid with? I don't think its just A,B,C.... dunno.....

Fairy | Co-Ordinates
------------------------------
Z... 3,4 (using the entire square, not just what she is pointing to)
F.... 4,2
D... 2,3
B... 4,1
S... 3,1
O... 2,5
T... 4,1 (the Picken)
Y... 1,2
E... 4,4 (the "THE" block Picken)
Th.. 5,2 (the There Fairy)
T... 3,1
R... 1,2
I... 4,1

I got nothing messing with some attempts at filling the grid.....

Wow...

Let's hope it leads to *something*!

I know I am VERY impressed with the map of Yellowstone... did you see that? The island looks JUST like the bottle piece on the floor!

I like these ideas but we need to figure how to get to Yellowstone besides a map. I am sticking with the whole concept that "You do not need any special knowledge" I think we all need to look at the book as if a child could figure it out, I think we might be looking at it to deep. I agree with the pointing Faireis because it is a little more simple.

Maybe every 3 months a Token will be found - 12 tokens = 3 years.

Someone had asked for a good map of 'Yellowstone Lake', maybe on Q4T? Anyway, this is the one I posted. Then someone
else posted it again on this forum, but then they deleted it... Don't know why... But, here it is again, for those who missed it:

I think that is it...WOW! Thanks for the map. Take a look at pg 80 - the grotto....more specifically the black ooze-sludge-ink-{whatever you want to call it}. Now, compare that shape with the shape of the lake!! Align them so the 2 parts appearing to spill from the large overturned pot on pg80 with the South Arm & Southeast Arm of the lake in the map. Not an EXACT match but I feel it is just tooooo close to be simply coincidental.
