i used the way they fly around together- see pages 34 and 103. there has to be a reason he sticks to this order throughout the book. and notice that butterfly and ant aren't mentioned as coming back. this could be a clue for us to look at them as small groups. ("our little group") in addition - ms stated that odds are if a person found one token they'd probably be able to find two or three.
so maybe it's not the pages that we find the mates on that match up but it's the type of fairy. this probably doesn't hold much water since there are several pickens and only one of some of the ffs but it may be a different way to look at it. let me know what you think! dd

If you don't count the halfling as a type of fairy, there are twelve fairy names listed in the book. In their singular form, their are exactly 100 letters in all of the names combined (flower faerie, kotenstoopit, urchin, spiggan, dobie, etc). I've arranged these into four 5x5 grids and into a 10x10 grid alphabetically and in the order that they are listed in the book, but haven't made any breakthrough discoveries yet. In converting the names to the singular form, I only took off the letter "S" and didn't change any "ie's" back into y's. This may or may not have thrown things off. Hope this helps someone!
