The most interesting to me are the black squares...they definatly mean something, it's not random, that's for sure!

If you look closely at the colors in the squares on pages 16 and 86, you'll notice that, allowing for a few shade losses during printing, the colors are the same and are in the same order/position. In other words, if necessary, you could find out what the blacked out colors are on pg. 86 by looking at pg. 16. Color code?

i'm convinced that after you fill the 5x5 box with whatever letters or #s then you must erase or "black out" the black spaces to form a new code

    does that make any sense??

I thought it was one of those anacronistic thingies you see in crossword puzzle books where black spaces separate words. I tried to insert the hint (tackle repositorys) because there are the same number of letters as colored squares and it seems like there are the same number of duplicate letters (t's, s's, o's e's and r's) as duplicate colors. However, I haven't been able to come with anything that makes any sense... any ideas?

Seems easier to fill the 5x5 grid with 25 letters, than 13.
I like this line of thought. But... which token will this lead us to? Maybe the hidden Pook one? In our hunt for the 5x5, we are using every letter clue in the book at once. There are 12 (or 13 if you count Pook) treasures to find... so if we use up all the letters now, we will have nothing left! Therefore, I think each of the 13 fairies is a clue to its own token. It has to be split somehow... right?

    Default what the faeries know

I read the post about the guy that solved one part of The Secret and found the buried treasure in Cleveland (one of 12 jewels hidden across the US). There was an amazing amount of "instructions", clues, hints, images and text to describe just ONE of the tweleve sites. I don't see ANY where near as much token specific information in TT. SO, I was thinking that ONE set of instructions might be used to reveal all of the 12 tokens. "With name in hand" might mean to start with your hand on the zip code number at a post office. The faeries will then "show you where to go". It could be something like "go west 100 feet and find the tree art". Then we look into the metal "knothole" of the tree art. It would be possible (over the course of 3 years writing the story) to visit several dozen towns and find 12 that fit the criteria, then erect a small tree art at the proper location. Sorry Doc, I'm thinking ONE solution, not twelve different puzzles.

I agree with Deboriole. I just posted my thoughts about this very topic under "Pointing Fairies" within this same forum "Faeiries". Sorry, I found your thread after!
