    Default I've been researching faeries.

This could help explain the buttons, dandelions, flour and sugar.. etc.

Fairies love presents. They will not stay where they are not welcome. You must continually make them feel appreciated by leaving tidbits, trinkets, drinks, and gifts. If you are not a natural born gifter this book may help you with the philosophy. 'The Language of Gifts' Some gifts are buttons, 'Buttons' seashells, 'Compendium of Seashells' colored ribbons, either loose on the grass or tied in branches, silver coins, colored beads, small bells. They love ginger 'The Spice Lilies: Eastern Secrets to Healing with Ginger, Tumeric, Cardamom, and Galangal' and appreciate bits of it grated fresh, candied, or powdered. Delicacies they cannot resist include milk, honey, butter, rose or violet flavored candies. Serve these in an abalone shell. Fairies eat only the essence and will leave the dross for you to dispose of in a few days. Fairies love wedding cake 'Romantic Wedding Cakes' and not saving some for them is bad luck. A bit of bread will prevent baking failures. Thimbles are useful and appreciated by fairies as drinking vessels. 'Zalkins Handbook of Thimbles and Sewing Implements: A Complete Collector's Guide With Current Prices' Wine, especially elderberry, dandelion and cherry is a fairy's choice of beverage though all fruity drinks are appreciated. All fairies love crystals. 'Crystal Enlightenment: The Transforming Properties of Crystals and Healing Stones (Crystals and New Age)' They use them for many things but they employ them to magnify our loving and encouraging vibrations to the plants in the garden. They love music and will be glad if you sing, play an instrument or dance in the garden. 'Medieval and Renaissance Dances for Recorders, Dancers, and Hand Drums' Lovemaking is a true delight to them. They will be nearby anyone kissing or embracing.
