i guess this means that anyone who dies while pursuing the jewels will be awarded an honorary token.

    Default MOVE THIS

I was playing around this afternoon and since I am new to anagraming I was playing with the word "Kootenstoopits"....not sure if anyone else has come up with this but I got it to work out to "Pook is on tote st"

Not sure what it means but thought that I would see if anyone has any ideas. The whole Fairy page has been bothering me for a while now. Thanks for the help.

    Default what if

What if the Pickensrooters are actually the Darklings? The Pickensrooter in the Nomenclaure of Faeries is not the greatest thing to look at. It does point out that they have rat tails. Darklings have bat wings. Bats are slangly called flying rats. What if as the Picken grows older, the tail shortens and turns to wings? I know it is a stretch, but at this point, anything is possible.

The foreward also refers to "Evil Fairies" (p. 10). I was never sure what that was referring to. Does that mean that the darklings and/or rusful are fairies?

Yes, I believe the darklings are the evil fairies and that Rusful is human, because he was once an apothecary.

As to pickensrooters being evil, I found a website about fairy folklore that says Spriggans are dark and dangerous and a source of crop blight, bad weather, and illness; and that Boggles are evil goblin-like creatures. In Ye Nom., these are aliases for Pickensrooters. As to Kootenstoopits, they are also called Dobies, and Dobies are benevolent, Brownie-type fairies.

Sorry. I reread the text after my earlier post and it says on two pages that the Darklings are fairies.

    Default darklings and pickensrooters

So does this mean that these fairies can be or are related somehow?
