## More to it

There is more than 1 tree in JBaird SP....somehow they determined the
vines in the picture for Chapter 12 page 59 = the map of Baird Park and the kooten... was pointing to the tree....I have a map of Baird and it doesn't look exactly like that (coming in from the Taconic Parkway)...but I am going there today and I am going to attempt to find the tree...

If you look at the dropcap for the Grasshopper, you should notice a darker vine at the top that loops. The dark vine can be found on several of the dropcaps. It was believed, and proven that those dark vines were map fragments to the puzzle. The dark vines match a part of the park mentioned from a solved puzzle. Lastly, the fairies point near those dark vines which show you precisely were to look at the location.

Hope that helps,

Hmmm...didn't see your post until just now...I started walking alomg a trail but the grass was 2-3 inches high...this being the Lyme Disease Capital of NY, I cut short my journey...I will try to piece together the dark vines and compare them to the map I have of the park...

They definately figured out the location - but as to how they knew what tree to look in - it was pure luck. The one guys girlfriend was on her way to the bathroom and saw a Dogwood tree with a notch in it. She stepped up on the notch where a hole was in the upper trunk - reached in the hole and there it was.

Excellent find.
