If I post them, people will know, I don't want anyone upset with me, so I will say that out of those that list their locations, I think Cysncr, and Garber are the closest to where I think it is.

I just received an email from a CQ reader, and I thought I'd pass along my comments to everybody. The question was, basically, what happens if the hidden stone has been moved/discarded/discovered but not reported. I responded: With all CustardQuests, there is the possibility that the stone will be found by a third party who does not understand the meaning of his or her find so does not report the find to the CustardQuest website. That is the nature of the game, I guess. Unfortunately, I have no way of knowing the status of any hidden stone unless it is reported as found. Complicating matters is that I don't even know where the CustardQuest II stone is, as Will and Windy said it was not where I originally hid it, and I suspected it was in an unknown parallel location linked by some cosmic thread that cinches time and space.

    Thanks for reading CustardQuest.

    To Custard, et.al.,

This problem is shared by those who GEOCACHE. Either by accident (or intent), the hidden cache is located by someone who either has no idea as to what they have in their hands, or possibly someone who desires to "mess" with the game "just because they can".

To minimize the first possibility, usually an identifying tag/clip is often attached, which points (via eMail) the finder to the person who originally hid it. Obviously, kinda hard to do with items from the RKPL. Those who simply "mess" with the game are referred to as "Muggles", and are not held in high esteem. But they can be tenacious, and some locations have had to be abandoned. How that will work with Custard and his travels, I cannot say ......

Thanks for the information, OceanArcher. I have engraved the hidden stones from the RKPL, but they contain minimal information. They indicate which "CQ" they are for, a graphic, and a secret code. This is intentional to at least reduce the odds that somebody who accidentally finds it will know that he or she can claim reward money, so long as CustardQuest remains relatively unknown to the general public, that is. Also, henceforth, any person who messes with a CustardQuest stone either by mistake or on purpose will not be held in high esteem and will be referred to as a "smeddler," short for "sucky intermeddler."

I thought this was pretty clever when I found my stone. It was enough information to be obvious for anyone who was participating in CustardQuest, but not enough for a random "smeddler" (lol) to know what to do.

Hey when I find the stone do I have to return it or do I get to keep it?

I might be speaking "out of turn" here, but it would be my opinion that it would be classified "spoils of the hunt", and the property of whomever found it ...

Absolutely . . . the stone is a "spoil of the hunt"! It's yours to keep. They are each completely unique too.

    Now go find a stone.

ok Custard im going to post the clues I see on CQ #2. Any help from you will be appreciated one way or another. (warm or cold)

I was wrong on the date. Neil Armstrong died on August 25 not the 26th so i'm not sure if the date means anything to the story.

    Here is the sentence:

It wasn't until Windy reached the rear gate to the pool area fifty-one steps later that it struck me.

    Here is the clue:

    area fifty-one = area 51

So the Stone is in Nevada.

    Here is the sentence:

If it had been a sunny day, I would have thought I was actually in paradise, but in the dark, with all of these weird statues, and this close to a possible alien landing, I felt like I was part of a circus freakshow.

    Here is the clue:

actually in paradise = Paradise, Nevada

So the Stone is in Paradise, Nevada.
