I've thought about releasing a clue or two, and that was my original plan if the CQs weren't getting solved quickly. I'm not ready to do that yet, I don't think. I've started drafting my investigative notes for CQIII, and they are going to contain fewer pages than the first two.

I'm still shaken up a little by what happened yesterday, and the things that old man told us are still running through my mind a million miles an hour. I'll explain it all in detail in CustardQuest III. I have plenty of time to write in my room at night . . . because I can't sleep a wink.

Thanks for reading my notes though, Genetic Blend. I appreciate it.

    Sincerely,

    Custard, True Believer

A couple of good examples of clues have already been discussed in the posts. Those should give you an idea of how my 11-year-old mind works.

I will release my investigative notes for CustardQuest III this Friday, December 7, 2012, at 8:00 a.m. on CustardQuest. Read the notes, discover the clues hidden within the text, and find the special stone hidden somewhere in the continental United States. If you find the stone, you alone can claim the reward money. Of course, it's totally free to play and claim the reward money.

Also, for those who would like to read the investigative notes on their mobile devices, the notes for CustardQuest III will be available in numerous formats for free on Smashwords — Ebooks from independent authors and publishers sometime this weekend. I'll post the link here and on my Facebook fanpage when it becomes available for download on Smashwords.

Thanks and keep working on CQ I and CQ II. If that reward money doesn't get claimed soon, I'll be tempted to blow it all on a good paranormal book, like Scary Rotter and the Half-Dead Prince.

    Sincerely,

    Custard

Our schools didn't have off that day, but the post office did.

I like your writing, especially the humor.

You keep providing us with these stories, so I guess you have faith in us that one day we will solve one of these Quests.

I hope the third time is a charm. I am on it!

    Thanks!

It has been confirmed that CustardQuest III has been solved by Travis P. . . . and he is a Twelever! The stone was found yesterday, Saturday, March 10, 2013, at The National Museum of the Marine Corps and Heritage Center in Triangle, Virginia. I'll work to fully update CustardQuest to include the details of Travis's adventure. Although Travis's story includes a few clues he discovered in my investigative notes, I will wait a week or so before revealing all of the clues from CQ III on the website. Congratulations to Travis. We finally have a CustardQuest winner. I'm very excited. My PayPal account is less excited . . . but a deal's a deal. Travis collects the $350 reward and goes down in history as the first CustardQuest solver.

    Any questions, just ask.

    Sincerely,

    Custard

    Cool CustardQuest rocks!

Hmm, I might know something about this.

Gotta give thanks to Custard for making this so much better than the ScrollQuest debacle (I hesitate mentioning them in the same sentence for fear of negative association.) It's just that the last time I was active on here was back in 2006 posting about SQ. So some of you old timers may remember me.

Anyway, enough of that. Now that you guys know where the stone was found...read back through the notes and see if you can find all the clues before they're released. In hindsight I bet they'll be pretty obvious!
