The Missionary and the Brute: Opening Chapter of "silent words..."

I predict that this puzzle will be solved in about fifteen minutes...lol

Books are out there and people are starting to solve some things. Some are solving without knowing HOW they are solving, so that is curious... There is a definite methodology that folks will need to know later, so to cut corners now may be only temporarily beneficial. I think there are two challenging ones, two extremely easy ones, and most leaning on the easy side but in between. Fun to see the approaches folks are taking already. I included the worksheets in the back to keep folks from drifting too far. We Twelevers are a creative bunch and given our own resources we'll head to edges unheard of...lol

    Enjoy!

It's funny - I always equate silence and a lack of questions with the belief that folks are finding the solutions on their own and that the game is afoot... or... they just haven't had time to open the doggoned thing...lol Intrigued to hear what y'all think. Enjoy!

Still awaiting my book, as I ordered it from the Amazon link on your blogspot, when I probably should have ordered it from Amazon UK, Doh

It'll take a while to come across the pond.

If you are talking about IL, Prof said this in a PM 'The Il Inferno was a common misspelling of Il Infierno in my college days.'

Certainly the possibility of errors. I had my guys try the puzzles over and over... but I'm perversely human - sometimes against my will, so things may sneak through. The one spelling error in this chapter (that I know of) was intentional - it was my Meerkat Island that pointed out distinctions. The one extra letter in the end of the solve is the same scenario - it tips off what kind of theme the puzzle will be - because it is more recognizable. It is not used in the solve and is indeed extra and superfluous.
