I think the skin people need to work on having is one which isn't thick at all. It has to be smart, brave and flexible. A little congeniality doesn't hurt. A lot of ideas are going to be tossed out as duds; nobody needs to be tossed out with them.

Personally I detest the idea that an anagram may have been worked into things already frustrating enough. But it needs to be allowed as a possibility and tossed only on suitable grounds. 10,000 plus combinations of phrases is daunting, but if something plausible and deliberate can be found through simple transition then it's gotta stick around. People picking on poor old SELBY is a bit foolish ifnyou ask me. There is a lot of real estate, towns, counties, lakes and features named after the dude. Qualifying his historical presence as insignificant or obscure is a dubious argument.

Today is a great day. I found the vital key that very closely confirms verse 9 pairs with image 12.

I discovered an organization called the Daughters of the American Revolution which has chapters located in all of the states, but it's first chapter (verse 9: The first chapter) is in Washington State where they held their first meeting in 1890. Their name is on a dedication plaque to Lt. H. M. Robert, which is adhered to a large boulder on a high meadow. Robert's Rock is the location of the Fort Bellingham on San Juan Island, established by General George Pickett and his men by orders of William Selby Harney.

Good old fashioned research is getting me farther along than I had hoped, now I don't expect anyone to agree but please don't ridicule based on the assumption that anything related to this mental exercise shouldn't require any level research. I'm a little upset by the arrogance and behavior of those who are too quick and willing to shoot things down in a group participatory environment. I agree with swift correction of errors and problem assumptions, but the latest wave of attacks, humorous ones aside, is disgusting. (I'm reflecting some of the happenings at Q4T).

BP created a tough challenge. It's going to be work to get through it. A little less working against our ideas could help. I just hope someone appreciates new ideas and also feels welcome to share. Getting more people involved might help broaden the perspectives which sometimes narrow our options down a wrong path.

Good Lord...how much longer are you going to lecture us on this? I don't personally CARE what you do--but I'm really getting tired of seeing you berate everyone for disagreeing with you. Just get on with it--if you are so firmly entrenched in your ideas, and you are so convinced you are right, then PROVE EVERYONE WRONG--but until then, kwitcherbitchin. Seriously, dude. It's getting WAY old. >

Yeah you're right. Your lectures are more preferable. I'm not working to disagree or prove others wrong as others tend to do while stoking some agenda that really seriously departs from the community effort.

Shecrab, I've recognize your point about looking for agreeance, and I still maintain that that point has nothing to do with anything I've said. I have made the mistake of showing frustration about comments that aren't worth the effort. Some folks treat an idea or offering with intelligence and kindness. I'd like to engage those sort of folks if they wouldn't mind speaking up. Of course they are welcome to disagree. So don't understand why you must continue to make this a drama about needing to agree...or prove people wrong.

It's just work in a possible direction. How about we pool our depths to reach greater heights? Focus on our goal and not be distracted by the petty stuff (i.e. Ego).

Has anyone looked at the DeSoto history? That explorer dude dressed just like Ponce deLeon. The bird in image 12 looks remarkably similar to the Chrysler Building in NYC. Interestingly the "DeSoto" was an early Chrysler product line.

Entering a correction after reading over things more carefully: Fort Bellingham was in Bellingham, not on San Juan Island as I thought. I read that the Fort was torn down and the only thing was left was a big rock in a field, but that wasn't the same Fort, it was just a temporary fortified position, but still an amazing mustering of forces to prepare a battle against 3 Royal Navy warships. I'm a little uncertain whether this proposed casque location will be found in San Juan Island or in Bellingham. The clearest connections so far to San Juan Island itself are the Daughters of the American Revolution plaque (first chapter in verse) on the glacial erratic called Robert's Rock (Redoubt), the image 12 panel that is an exact match to the back side entry of the radio compass light house at Cattle Point, and I'm leaning towards the monument stone that shares a proportionality to the image from top to bottom in where the pane, woman's head, first and second water lines all fit nicely.

It's always important to look for errors.

Not one time have I said you needed to AGREE. I have only said I'm tired of hearing you complain about how you are treated on Q4T. You can't, apparently, take any dissension without taking it personally. That's too bad, because your ideas aren't awful. No, I don't agree with them--but that doesn't matter. I am not disagreeing with you because I don't like YOU. Almost every post you've made on this forum and quite a few on Q4T have stated how upset you are by "arrogance" or people who shoot things down, or how no one is listening to your ideas, and the best way to nip that in the bud is to show them they are wrong. You seem to think that every post that does not agree with you or your ideas is somehow related to the poster's ego, when I can tell you for a fact that nothing could be further from the truth.

Think about it--this isn't a contest. It's a DEFUNCT puzzle hunt. You aren't going to find a casque--not anywhere--the hunt is over 30 years old. You are trying to drum up "group-think" that just doesn't exist for lots of good reasons--the LEAST of which is that people disagree on location. Absolutely no one will stop you from digging somewhere, absolutely no one is interested in "winning" (because there is literally NOTHING TO WIN HERE!) and no one cares if you write to a million parks or mayors or archeologists or whomever to get permission to dig, or if you to go anywhere in the world to do so. No one. You are making this into a Pi$$ing contest that isn't necessary, because you have your ideas and other people have their ideas and --and here is the important part!--NO ONE HAS FOUND A CASQUE. So have at it! By all means! Just please please please stop trying to make other people feel bad if they don't agree with YOU.That's exactly what you're saying they are doing--but you are turning around and doing the exact same thing. This isn't my drama--it's yours.

I'm sorry, I must not understand what you mean by saying the forum isn't a place to get universal agreement. And I'm sorry, I can't remember asking for agreement. I've only belabored the tone of exchange and not the right or wrongness of the exchange. I'm not into this for a competitive sake, what presses you to make such a point? You were working well with me before, what's really changed? My approach has been with a shared interest. I agree that the easiest way to deal with it is to say someone is wrong, but here is where I suggest others who choose to inform me that I'm wrong try a less cynical approach. You're approach to reverse the drama pointing isn't really justified. I just made my declarations after being snubbed...it's not like I told someone how much their ideas stunk. If it's not about the ego thing, then why the attitudes? I talk about congeniality and you...well, feel inspired to respond as you did. Please, help me understand why it's ever appropriate to treat others poorly? Telling someone to have a thick skin is insensitive in itself. Kind of a pi$$ing type of statement really.

In all fairness, i'd like to encourage a fair and respectful environment for anyone who wishes to have exchanges in the forums. So react to that aspect of my complaint if you will.
