    Default Where the snails are

    1) p. 66 right after where it says chapter 14, there is a thistle, follow its stem to the right until it goes under an arch, there is the snail #1.

    2) p. 66 In the box where 'There' starts, it travels down to a point at the bottom, outside the box. the snail is at the bottom of this dropdown, turn the book on its side to view the snail right side up, pretty easy to find.

*note-snail two has two little bangs or extra antennae, but besides that it is identical to snail 1
    Or am I just paranoid...

    *Of course*

Isn't it a little strange that both snails are on the same page? I've been looking at the pairs one by one... I got to the snail last, and I'm just now realizing this... there aren't any other findings of snail throughout the book?

    Default pairs

Rosepetals220... I was doing the same thing today! I don't recall seeing any other snails. As I saw them, the snails were on the same page as their mate, as were the spiders and the butterflies.

I also wanted to ask if anyone found anything that indicates that the pairs are important. The only reference I found for them was in the Foreward, in the P.S. on page 12 (however, page 12... interesting!) where it says that there are two ways to solve the puzzle. The first being to decipher the clues in the book, and the second being to find the creatures and mates hidden in the book. I don't know that he didn't just put them in the book so that you could use them "symbolically" if you are reading the book with a child. That's not to say that they AREN'T important... just that they may NOT be (kind of like everything else we have come across!! )

    Default Another snail?

Page 19 - isn't that a snail crawling behind the leaf on the bottom left on the "right angle" tool?

What about the snails in the top right corner of the opening pages leading up to chapter one? I know they're different than the ones on the other page, however, a snail is a snail is a snail and i'm quite certain they were put there for a reason....

See Flip Book Thread---they are put there just for fun...

And, no---that's not a snail crawling behind the leaf on 19....If you look at the same tool on the left hand-side of the frame, it's apex is shaped the same way....
